ASIAN JUNIOR SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The  Asian Junior Squash Championship 2025, held from 1st to 5th July 2025 in Gimcheon, SouthKorea, with participation from 18 countries across Asia.Aryaveer Dewan of Class XII-S emerged as the champion, securing the 1st position (Gold Medal) by defeating Nickhileswar Moganasundharam from Malaysia in the final.Amarya Bajaj of Class VII-E secured the 3rd position (Bronze Medal) after a hard-fought semifinal against Muhammad Suhail Adnan from Pakistan

DPS RK Puram students visit the AICTE IDEA Lab and Atal Incubation Centre – GGSIPU

Fifty students from Classes IX to XI visited the AICTE IDEA Lab and Atal Incubation Centre at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka on July 11, 2025. The visit was an initiative to provide students with first-hand exposure to real-world innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.

At the IDEA Lab, students explored various tools and technologies used in prototyping and product development, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and embedded systems. They also viewed working prototypes created by university students, ranging from smart irrigation systems to drone-based pollution monitors.

At the Atal Incubation Centre, students gained insights into how startups are nurtured—from ideation and business modelling to prototyping and funding. They were introduced to programmes like ASPIRE, SPARK, and IGNITE that support young entrepreneurs at various stages of innovation.

The visit sparked curiosity, encouraged creative thinking, and gave students a clearer understanding of how ideas can evolve into impactful solutions. Interacting with innovators and seeing real applications of technology inspired many to think beyond textbooks and imagine their own journeys in the fields of science, technology, and entrepreneurship. The children were accompanied by Ms Taruna Kapoor and Ms Preeti Jagota and the visit was  organised by: SPARK LAB & The InnoPreneurs Club

It  was a meaningful and memorable learning experience that will resonate with the students for years to come.

CLASS IX OPEN HOUSE (2025-26)

The Open House for the parents of Class IX was organised on 12th July 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in order to facilitate a fruitful interaction between the parents and the subject teachers. The parents interacted with the subject teachers on a one-to-one basis regarding their ward’s academic performance in the half yearly examination. Parents were appreciative of the efforts and the work done by the class 9 class teachers and the school authorities.

TOPIC: “HERITAGE AND TRADITIONS THAT SHAPE CHARACTER THROUGH DISCIPLINE AND VALUES: OUR SCHOOL’S CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY”

ECHOES OF THE PAST, PRIDE OF THE PRESENT

The assembly commenced on a graceful note with a soulful prayer- O Palanhaare presented by Ananyashree Prasad, Aryan Bhadoriya, Aurel Marwah, Avneet Kaur, Ayushmaan Gaba, Bhavik Kharbanda, Bhavika Arora, Drishti Vashishth, Kenisha Verma, Mayank Chaudhary, Roshan Kumar, Shubham Lodhi Rajput, Vishishta Mishra, Kushal Agarwal, Vaishnavi Sudershan, Yantika, Srinika, Dyumna Gupta, Aditya Goswami, Aaron Johannes Toppo. This was followed by a warm welcome and an inspiring prayer led by our headmistress, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra.

The rest of the assembly unfolded in the form of an engaging skit brought to life by the talented performances of Vanisha Khullar, Aurel Marwah, Arnav Aggarwal, Smyaan Sharma, Kenisha Verma, Aniruddha Mathuria, Zaara Zahid Khan, Laksh Gulati, Agni Pratap, Shaurya Rajput, Swarit Pratap Singh, Jap Malhotra, Bhavya Agarwal, Jatin Kumar, Keshav Jindal, Saanvii Saluja, Sanvi Sawhney, Shashwat Anurag, Suhani Jangra, Vaishnavi Sudershan. Captivating everyone with their graceful moves, Anika Marwah, Anvi Goswami, Gauri Gidwani, Mritsha Gautam and Dhanika Kohli presented a mesmerizing Krishna Leela, followed by an energetic and vibrant dance on “Aarambh” performed by Anika, Anvi, Gauri and Sharanya Sharma.

Atharva Sinha, Neil Gupta, Poorva Sharma and Dhruv Gupta delivered the latest global news updates. The choir’s rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads”, featuring voices of Smyaan Sharma and Yathartha Thakur, was complemented by soulful instrumental performances by Arnav Aggarwal, Dhruv Vason, Devansh, Apoorv Mishra, Laksh Gulati, Smyaan Sharma, Yathartha Thakur, Ayansh Gupta, Vivaan Gupta, Shaurya Chopra, Devansh Kumar and Anirban Lahiri. Ananyashree Prasad and Avneet Kaur then took the stage one by one to eloquently express the essence of heritage, legacy, and the timeless value of ‘TOPIC OF ASSEMBLY-’ by reciting a beautiful poem. The assembly concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Suhani Jangra.

Behind the scenes, the e-cards and presentation were thoughtfully curated by Armaan Walia, Zaara Zahid Khan, Rishi Das and Vishal Vinod. Artistic boards, folders, and invitation cards were skillfully handcrafted by Sonanshi Saiwala, Dhanika Kohli, Kenisha Gupta, Siddhi Sharma, Barkha Bisht, Ayana Verma and Sairah Chawla. The website write-up was put together by Zaara Zahid Khan. Throughout the assembly, the compering was seamlessly managed by Laksh Gulati and Suhani Jangra.

IPSC Table Tennis (Girls) Championship 2025

IPSC Table Tennis girls championship was held at The Emerald International School Indore (MP) from 14-17July 2025. DPS RK Puram won Silver medal in the U-17 & U14 Team Championship , Dhanya Gupta 6-I won Gold Medal in the U-14 Individual Championship and Dhirti Gupta 6-J won the Siver Medal .

TOPIC: “INSPIRING JOURNEYS/ CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS: SHAPING FUTURE LEADERS, NURTURING TALENT AND PASSION, FOSTERING GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE”

On 17 July 2025, the students of Class IX-O and IX-P came together to present an inspiring morning assembly on the theme “Carrying the Torch: Legacy and Leadership in Action”. Through their presentation, the students explored the legacy of change-makers from DPS R.K. Puram. They reflected on how these individuals “carried the torch” of values and achievements forward. The theme set the tone for a truly uplifting experience—one that encouraged reflection on the past and inspired hope and purpose for the journey ahead.

The assembly began with a soulful prayer sung by Rochisha Agarwal, Siddhant Sharma, Abhay Gautam, Soham Gupta, Aarav Roy, Lav Singh, Kush Singh, Vivaan Lal, Mahi, Aanya Kumar, Yashasvi, Aniruddha Gupta, Vibha Tiwari, Aarav Gulati, Aadit Dinesh Tiwari, Ishaan Rastogi, Kuldeep Sidhu, Kushagr Kathuria, Manit Besoya setting a spiritual and reflective tone. This was followed by a graceful Kathak recital by Avika Nagpal and Saanvi Singh Pawar who presented Vishnu Vandana . Then an impactful skit was presented by Shimja, Ishaan Shrivastav, Shaurya Baisoya, Saanvi Singh, Riddhima Sajwan, Ayushi Singh, Toshani Ranjan, Aniruddha Gupta, Jayadityaa Tewari, Yuvraj, Rajveer Singh Besoya, Aahana Malhotra, Aarav Bhaskar, Aday Agrawal, Advik Sarma Talukdar, Lakshay Nath Gupta, Pinaki Singh, Rudrapratap Malhotra, Soham Yadav and Vivaan Varun Choudhary. Motivational and meaningful thoughts on leadership and aspirations were presented in four different languages by Ananya Sud, Tanishka Kansara, Anuttara Sinha, Lavanya Singh and Shourya Jain. The news update by Gaurika K Narang, Vyom Pandey, Ayan Alam and Soham Gupta connected the audience to the current world events.

Thereafter, the western choir featuring Aarav Dixit, Aditi Narula, Adrita Bose, Avika Nagpal, Mrinank Singh, Vihaan Segal, Vitasta Rajvanshi, Rochisha Agarwal, Ritwik Garg, Yashasvi, Siddhant Sharma, Aanya Kumar gave a captivating performance. The singers were ably supported by Karman Singh, Prakhar Ranjan Tiwari, Arav Sinha, Pranav Masand and Vishrut Singh Pawaiya who played musical instruments. This was followed by a self composed poem recited by Priyanshi Sharma, Aarav Roy, Pihu Kumar, Vivaan Lal and Tavleen Kaur. The assembly ended with the captivating dance performance by Araatrika Ghoshal, Ariba Uzma, Ashvika Singh, Esha Goyal, Jasnoor Kaur and Pragya Singhania.

The comperes for the programme were Vihaan Saha, Vihaan Sureka, Tamanna Tomar and Kripa Mehta. Field trip of Geography Students to Hero Motocorp

The Geography Department of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, organized an educational visit to the Hero MotoCorp manufacturing facility in Gurgaon for the students of Classes XI and XII on 9th July 2025 from 7:45am -12:45 pm. The students were accompanied by Mrs Sangita Bajpai, Ms Mahima Goel and Ms Swati Uppal.  The objective of the trip was to provide students with practical exposure to sustainable industrial practices and modern manufacturing systems. 

Upon arrival, Mr Mishra and Mr Arun Jajoria addressed the students with the overview of the plant operations. They were then taken on a guided tour of the company’s 7-acre shop floor, where they witnessed the highly efficient assembly-line manufacturing process allowing the company to produce up to 7,000 two-wheelers in a day and 1 two-wheeler every 18 minutes.In addition to the manufacturing process, the tour focused heavily on sustainability and eco-friendly innovations adopted by the company. Students observed various green practices such as:  

● Upcycling of materials  

● Use of motion sensors to reduce electricity consumption  

● Groundwater recharge systems  

● Adoption of energy-efficient technology throughout the plant  

The highlight of the visit was an interactive session with Mr. Vinod Thusu, who guided the students about the practices of Environment Social Governance (ESG) and its various components. He informed the students about carbon emissions and how to reduce carbon footprints.

‘CROSSROADS’- ANNUAL CAREER FAIR 2025

Delhi Public School RK Puram hosted ‘Crossroads’, its Annual Career Fair, on 5th July 2025. More than 180 universities from countries including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore along with more than 50 Indian universities took part in this event. Some of the prestigious universities participating in this grand event were University of Southern California, Hong Kong University, SCAD, Babson College , University College London, University of British Columbia, University of Warwick, Singapore Management University, University of Sydney, Bocconi University, Vellore Institute of Technology, Ashoka University and more. 

The representatives of these universities provided information about the latest happenings at the institution, upcoming programmes,research and newly launched centres and courses. They also  answered a range of queries from the potential applicants and their parents. Topics covered in the discussions were foreign education systems, admission process, visa processes, accommodation, fee structure, overhead charges etc. The universities offered multifarious courses and programmes such as Engineering, Management, Business, Architecture, Law, Art, Design, Culinary Sciences, Music and Film Production among other sought after courses. Brochures were provided and information was exchanged between the representatives and students for further communication.  

The event was attended by students and parents of classes IX to XII, who got an insight into the various aspects of international higher education and the diverse fields available Internationally and in India for students to choose from. This mega fair proved to be a valuable opportunity for both parents and students to not only become aware about the various career opportunities available but also interact with university representatives and gain knowledge about the admission process and future prospects in international education.

Assembly VII-A & VII-B (16-07-2025)

TOPIC: “THE PARAMPARA OF STORYTELLING: PASSING WISDOM THROUGH GENERATIONS, LESSONS FROM THE PAST”

Storytelling is the art of sharing tales that convey messages, emotions, and experiences. In India, our parampara of storytelling is as old as the vedas and as vibrant as the colours of Holi. From the ancient epics of Ramayana and Mahabharat, to the folktales of Panchatantra and Jataka, our stories have been the threads that stitch our culture, values and traditions. Keeping the theme in mind, the class assembly of VII-A & VII-B was conducted on the topic कर्मफल. 

The assembly began with a soulful morning prayer sung by Jasmine, Chirag, Bhanu, Shubham, Sachin, Raj, Nikku, Anshuman, Soniya, Vitharya, Vaibhav, Atharv Bahadur, Atharv Amar, Mani Shankar, Adhiraj Singh, Sashwat Mishra, Jaksh Rathi, Hitesh, Advait Pandey, Prince, Rishabh, Sakshi Kumari, Devid, Mayank, Samriddhi Tiwari, Hargun, Suraj. Then the Headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal welcomed everyone with an eloquent prayer.

This was followed by a Theatrical Presentation that included a Skit, Thought of the Day, News, Self -Composed Poems, a Classical Dance and a Western Choir. Advait, Ishana, Aditi, Suraj, Samarth, Aanya shared their thoughts for the day. The news headlines were presented by Aarvee, Samaya, Shivansh and Randeep. Amyra and Ishanvi presented the self-composed poem.

To illustrate the theme , Pehal, Jenika, Rishi, Amyra, Tisya, Aarvee, Kanika, Rayhan, Saanvi, Vabhavi, Adhiraj, Jaksh, Sashwat, Rishit, Rishik, Arjun Chatrath, Gurkirat, Ishana, Kanisha, Advika,Aadira, Anaya performed a skit showcasing the rich parampara of storytelling that not only makes learning more enjoyable but also helps students develop essential skills, values, and perspectives that will benefit them throughout their lives. The energy of the stage was taken a notch higher by a classical dance performance, titled-Nataraja by Aaditri, Pooja, Bhavishika, Harsh, Anushka, Ayush, Mihira.

Western Choir was presented by Aaheli, Abhavya, Advitya, Odara, Yoviksha, Shreya, Samaira, Pulkita, Vivaan, Keshav, Ghansh, Atharv Amar, Aditi, Ridit, Hargun, Kanisha, Rishik, Zainab, Adhiraj, Arjun, Shivansh,Ishana, Anaya, Aadira, Gauuri, Navya, Maisha, Vaibhavi. After the theatrical presentation, a vote of thanks was delivered by Advik. The comperes of the programme were Saanvi, Advik Sahu, Advik Singh, Maisha, Samaira. The exquisite invitation cards, folders and board were made by Tisya, Advik Sahu, Aanya, Paavni, Zainab, Aditi. The Digital  presentation & E-invite was made by Aarna and Aadit.

Assembly X-I & X-J (15-07-2025)

TOPIC: “HERITAGE AND TRADITIONS THAT SHAPE CHARACTER THROUGH DISCIPLINE AND VALUES: OUR SCHOOL’S CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY”

On Tuesday, the 15th of July 2025, the students of Class X-I and X-J presented their class assembly on the topic ‘What we leave behind is woven into the hearts of others’. Their presentation waded back into the mists of time by acknowledging India’s age-old Gurukul system and how it imbibed deep moral and ethical values — those that are phasing out in the futuristic year of 2125 — in its students.This was in a way to recognise the importance of our heritage and values to become successful and inspire others.

The assembly opened with an ardent rendition of the prayer Hamko Mann ki Shakti Dena by Animikha, Ashi, Devaang, Jayati, Jistina, Khadijah, Kiara, Mahikaa, Manha, Naitik, Ranjana, Saisha, Sasha, Sampann, Suhani, Suramya, Himanshi, Trividh, Adit, Alisha, Aishani, Anshuman, Arnav Kumar, Mrinal, Rafaan and Shikkha.

Aarohi, Bhavya, Ritika, Arusha, Anika and Shruti graced the stage with their rhythmically serene Saraswati Vandana, kickstarting the running skit exploring DPS R.K. Puram’s astoundingly rich legacy and the mark Dipsites continue to leave around the globe.

The skit transported the audience to the year 2125 — when books will have become obsolete objects, festivals a lost sentence in the novels of history, prayers will have forfeited all praise, and values reduced to museum artefacts — that is, if museums still exist. After what it took the audience through, the skit left a profound question in the minds of all: “What is progress, if we forget where we began?” Ayush, Govind, Ruhaan, Savya, Zara, Hriman and Hridaan, Achintya, Meisha, Krishna and Saranya captivated the audience with their theatrical skills.

Thereafter, Ayush, Jayati, Rayyan and Saransh delivered the latest developments in India and the world. With a new hope ignited, Reyaa , Samaira and Taneesha delivered mind-provoking thoughts for the day in English, Hindi and French. Animikha, Ashi, Himanshi, Jayati , Jistina, Khadijah, Mananya, Manha, Mahikaa, Kiara, Sasha, Suramya, Ranjana, Ayush, Devaang, Krishna, Trividh, Vihaan, Saisha, Kaari, Aishani, Misha, Naintara and Shikkha took on their instruments and mics and serenaded the crowd with a mellifluous performance of Hall of Fame and Imagine. Aarohi, Ritika, Arusha, Anika and Shruti then wove melody and movement together to put up a seraphic dance performance of Fireworks -a joyful celebration through the rhythmic movement of Western Dance.

Nearing the end of their spectacle, the students invited the Headmistress to address the gathering and share pearls of wisdom. The presentation finally concluded with the recital of the School Anthem and the National Anthem — a fitting bookend to the deeply reflective morning. Invitations, folders, e-invites and presentations — encapsulating art and creative expression that continues to tantalise the human mind — were crafted by Aakriti, Aarav, Ashi, Koel, Reyaa, Geet, Jayati, Khadijah, Mahikaa, Mananya, Samaira, Suramya, Devaang, Guneet, Aura, Aliya and Alisha.

BELLS AND BEYOND – A Journey Through DPS RK Puram

Delhi Public School RK Puram has always been known for its traditions and legacy. The assembly was a walk down memory lane with some of the famous alumni of DPS RK Puram visiting the school for an Alumni Meet and remembering the ‘good old days’. The performance in the form of a Musical encompassed all the elements of the vibrant school life of a DPS RK Puram student, that is, dance, music, singing and enactment, speaking, art and craft. The students aimed at highlighting the core values that represent the DPS RK Puram family – hard work, perseverance, grit, collaboration and above all, Service Before Self. We are confident in our belief that the students who graduate from DPS RK Puram leave only the school building. They proudly carry the school within their hearts, no matter where they go.

The assembly commenced with an everyday morning scene of DPS RK Puram, introduced by Aanya, Aarsheya, Anahita and Ravi. The morning bell, followed by a soulful prayer by Aatreyi, Atharva, Aayu, Arundhati, Ishita, Niharika, Reanna, Sanvi, Yashraj Anahita, Anaisha, Aryan Sahni, Kavish, Lamiya, Manya, Surya, Sparsh, Samarth, Atharv Goyal and Shrishti. This was followed by the invocation dance in the form of Shiv-Shakti Stuti by Avika, Elysia, Disha and Hunar. The thoughts for the day were presented by Khushi, Tanvi, Aarav and Hamza. The news was delivered by Sanshray, Shrishti, Naitik and Samarth. This was followed by a scene depicting the atmosphere before the Student Council interviews, which was presented by Aarav, Rasmika, Kyraan, Arya, Arhan, Mayansh Showaiz and Navya. What followed was the depiction of the chaos before the Monday Test introduced by Aarsheya and Ravi; presented by Manya, Sanshray, Sharanya, Kyraan, Yashraj, Ishita, Shivanjali and Divij. Jaanya highlighted the importance of these tests in inculcating the values of grit, perseverance, hard work and highlighted the role of teachers and schools in the life of students. The PA system announcement about the carnival was made by Advita, followed by the introduction of the carnival by Yudhveer and Aakriti. They introduced the mesmerising Indian Dance performed by Avika, Elysia, Hunar, Disha and Aayu. This was followed by the melodious Indian Instrumental performance by Anaisha, Avika, Elysia, Kyraan, Sanshray, Rayirth, Arjun, Aviral, Ishita, Reanna, Siddhant, Vihaan and Lamiya Arundhati. Adhiraj took the audience down memory lane with his short monologue, followed by the classroom scene highlighting the readiness of teachers to always guide the students, presented by Aarsheya, Manya, and Aryan. The announcement regarding the DEAR tradition was made by Adya, performed by Manya and Reanna. Samarth brought us back to the present, where Jaanya and Reanna met as alumni discussing the importance of reading books. Agnimitra, Shrisha, Siddhant, Reyansh and Arundhati acted as the hosts for the Alumni Meet in the AVH. They introduced the various alumni played by Adhiraj, Reanna, Jaanya, Atharv Goyal, Kyraan and Vansh. Anya introduced the audience to the scene where the alumni remembered and shared stories from the past. This was followed by a symphony of the Western Choir and Western Instrumental music performed by Anaisha, Jaanya, Kyraan, Nikhil, Ravi, Rayirth, Sanshray, Siddharth, Anahita, Avika, Bhavya, Elysia, Lamiya, Shrishti, Manya, Shrisha, Shambhavi, Aatreyi, Adya, Arundhati, Devyaangi, Dhanaisha, Ishita, Navya, Niharika, Reanna, Sanvi, Shivanjali, Vansh and Vihaan. 

Time came full circle with the last scene where the ideal of Service Before Self was presented by Riya, Sanshray, Atharv Goyal, Jaanya, Kyraan, Reanna, and Adhiraj. The comperes Rachit, Anahira and Advita brought the Musical performance to a close by delivering the vote of thanks. The digital presentation, Cards, E-card, Folders and AVH Board were prepared by Shrisha, Sharanya, Kyraan, Rachit, Sayansh, Nikhil, Bhavya, Jaanya, Adhiraj, Reanna, Yashraj, Yuvaan, Aatreyi, Sanvi, Devyaangi, Dhanaisha, Navya, Sanvi, Shivaya and Yashraj. The script was written by Reanna, Jaanya, Manya, Shrisha, Elysia and Ishita.
