FIRST POSITION IN THE SPECTRUM
Delhi Public School RK Puram was honoured to attend the art competition held on 12 November 2024 in Banyan Tree School. The name of the event was The Spectrum in which the students of class XI took part in the ‘Kaleidoscope of Imagination’. The topic of the on the spot painting competition was “Artivism: Inspire, Influence, Ignite”. The first positions were secured by Neelanjana Maggo XI V and second position Anushka Nandi XI T of respectively. Their artworks were judged on the basis of content, relevance, aesthetics and their knowledge of colours. It was a great opportunity and stage for them to showcase their talent.

DELHI STATE SHOOTING RIFLE PISTOL 2024-25 ISSF
The 39th Delhi State Shooting Championship 2024 was held at Dr Karni Singh shooting range, Tughlakabad, New Delhi from 15th – 20th July 2024.Nevaan Wadhawan of class 12-S participated in 10m and 25m events and secured 2 GOLD, 1 BRONZE in 10m Air pistol event and 3 GOLD, 1 SILVER in 25m 0.22 bore events.

ALL INDIA IPSC TABLE TENNIS BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
All India IPSC Table Tennis Championship was held at The Pestle Weed School Dehradun from 16 Aug to 21 August 2024.DPS RK Puram won one a Silver medal in the Under 12 boys team and two Bronze medal in the Under 14 and Under 19 boys team. Yug Choudhary of Class VIII-B and Mehransh Singh Bhatia of Class IV-C also won two Bronze medals in the individual championship. The boys team comprised of – Mehransh Bhatia, Prakhar Yadav, Kabir Ahuja, Bisraj Khurana, Yug Choudhary, Akul Gangwani, Manvik Aggarwal, Shakul Yadav, Vivaan Gupta, Yuvraj Batra, Jaiveer Gulyani, Harshit Sah & Swanik Aeron.

Cyber Awareness Photowalk
The CyberX Club of DPS RK Puram, under the guidance of its Club Incharge, Ms. Sarika Kaushal, successfully organized a Cyber Awareness Photowalk on 14 November 2024, with an aim to promote awareness about cybersecurity among students. This unique event served as a platform to display insightful writeups and articles on cyber safety, crafted by the talented students of the club.
The photowalk showcased the students’ efforts in exploring various aspects of cyber security, from phishing and data privacy to safe online practices, demonstrating their commitment to spreading awareness about the digital world’s challenges.
The event was graced by the presence of the Principal Mr. Anil Kumar, along with Vice-Principals Mr. Anil Kathuria and Mr. Mukesh Kumar, who interacted with the senior members of the CyberX Club. The Principal engaged in meaningful discussions with the team, offering valuable suggestions on current cyber safety measures and innovative ways to enhance student awareness about online threats.
The Cyber Awareness Photowalk not only highlighted the significance of cybersecurity in today’s digital era but also motivated students to take an active role in educating their peers. The collaborative spirit of the CyberX Club, coupled with the enthusiastic participation of the school community, marked this event as a significant milestone in fostering a culture of responsible digital citizenship at DPS RK Puram.
Cyber Jagrukta Diwas Activities
The school celebrated Cyber Jaagrukta Diwas on the first Wednesday of the month with great enthusiasm and active participation from students across various classes. This initiative, aimed at raising awareness about cyber security, provided students with an engaging platform to explore the importance of staying safe and responsible in the digital world.
Under the visionary guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, and organized by Ms. Sarika Kaushal, the Nodal Officer for Cyber Safety and incharge of CYBERX Club, a variety of activities were conducted to encourage students to think critically about their digital safety.

- Slogan and Poem Writing: Students expressed their understanding of cyber security through catchy slogans and creative poems, showcasing their literary talent and awareness.
- Class Discussions: Interactive discussions were held in classrooms, where students shared their experiences, learned about online threats, and discussed strategies to protect themselves and others.
The activities not only enhanced students’ understanding of cyber security but also provided them with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and critical thinking. Their active participation and enthusiastic response reflected their keen interest in contributing to a safer online community.

TOPIC: “THE SECRET INGREDIENTS TO TRUE HAPPINESS”
Happiness is a universal pursuit, yet its secrets remain elusive. In today’s fast-paced world, stress and anxiety have become rampant. Research shows that happiness boosts productivity, relationships, and overall well-being. But what are the secret ingredients to true happiness? Is it wealth, success, or something more profound?
The students of Class XI R explored the answers to this question with an engaging and thought-provoking assembly on the topic “The Secret Ingredients to True Happiness.” The event showcased the talents of our students and conveyed a valuable message about the importance of happiness in our lives. The assembly began with a solemn prayer, led by Abhinav, Arav Dewan, Arav Gupta, Ayati, Aryan Aggarwal, Aryan Vithhal, Drishti Meena, Gurjas Singh Chadha, Hardik, Himanshu, Jaskirat Singh Manocha, Jasraj Marwah, Sidhant, Darsh, Omisaa Bansal, Prachi Dua, Ranbir Bajaj, Nimish Kalra, Caesha, Advita and Paavni.
This was followed by a mesmerizing Ganesh Vandana performance by Anishika, Tanvi, Caesha, Paavani, and Advita. Jasraj Singh Marwah presented the international news, while Arav Gupta delivered the national news. Jaskirat Singh Manocha kept us updated with the latest sports news, and Abhinav provided the weather report. Arav Verma shared the English thought of the day, and Hardik presented the Hindi thought. The choir’s rendition of “Aashayein” and “Itni Si Khushi” was soul-stirring, featuring Advita, Caesha, Paavani, Ayati, Gurjas, Aryan, Nimish, Darsh and Jaskirat. Omisaa Bansal recited an inspiring English poem, and Tanvi Goel delivered a thought-provoking Hindi poem.
A skit, written by Saara Gulati and Omisaa Bansal, was performed by Jaskirat Singh Manocha, Nimish Kalra, Omisaa Bansal, Mridul Gupta, Aditya Goel, Kavin Malhotra, Sarthak Sehrawat and Saara Gulati. Mokshaa Swarup and Saara Gulati were the comperes for the event. Hardik Panwar, Tanvi Goyal, Mokshaa Swarup and Ayati Jain designed the board and the invites. The digital presentation and the e-invites were curated by Atharvv Aggarwal and Aditya Goel. The assembly concluded with a captivating dance performance by Advita Singh, Paavni Gupta, Caesha Goyal, Anishika Anand, Drishti Meena and Tanvi Goyal. The assembly was a resounding success, showcasing the talents of our students and emphasizing the significance of happiness in our lives.

With this theme in mind, the Class Assembly of IX E and IX F began with a heartfelt morning prayer ‘Achyutam Keshavam’ to invoke the blessings of god. The morning prayer was performed by Abhishek, Anant, Anshuman, Anurag, Ayush, Arnav Kanojia, Manish, Nitin, Sai, Vansh, Pyush, Qasim, Samya, Divyansh, Sankalp, Jap, Tanisk, Namish, Aahana, Aditya, Anuvrat, Devyani, Hemant, Ishaan, Shubh, Shubham, Shobhit, Varun, Vihaana, Vanshika, Ishaan P., Jagesh, Sapna, Priyanshu and Aarav. This was followed by Durga Vandana dance form – bharatanatyam, performed by Vihaana and Siddhi. Nikunj and Zaara introduced the topic: Journey to Enlightenment followed by a speech on the theme presented by Aisha and Gairwin.
Abhishyant, Aavasyu, S. Samyuktha and Prachi shared their thoughts for the day. News headlines were presented by Rishi, Arnav Aggarwal, Vanya and Ishaan Raikwar. Thereafter, an enthralling skit depicting the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji on the theme “प्रकाश की राह” was performed which was presented by Aarush, Aavasyu, Riddhima, Ikjyot, Amaira, Abhiveer, Siddhanta, Pradatta, Maithili, Aarna, Aniruddha, Ayana, Ankita, Kanish, Mayank, Anurag, Arshia, Abhignya and Haniya.
A soulful Shabad “Tatti Wao na lagai” was presented by Aastha, Vani, Abhiveer, Ikjyot, Aavasyu, Aditya, Ishaan P., Priyanshu, Namish, Anant, Anurag, Haniya, Qasim, Arshia, Jap, Kabirinder, Divyansh, Ayush, Arshia, Samya, Abhignya followed by performance of bhangra by Vihaana, Aastha, Akshita, Navya, Vani, Avantika and Shaishta. The comperes of the programme were Ayush, Nikunj, Aradhana, Vatsal, Zaara, Gairwin and Aisha.
The folders, cards and the board for the assembly were made by Rudrakshi, Vaishavi, Ayana, Siddhi, Arshia, Zaara, Anurag, Haniya, Aisha and Abhignya. A model of the Golden Temple was prepared by Aisha Sachdeva. The digital presentation was made and presented by Abhiveer, Zaara and Rishi. The e-invite was prepared by Kabirinder.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the class teachers of 9E and 9F. The assembly was an initiative to celebrate the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, embracing the values of humility, kindness, selflessness, and unity. Second Position at Pitch AI held at The Banyan Tree School
On November 12, 2024, Aviral Goyal (IXL) and Aarav Sachin Vijan (IXJ) from the Think Club participated in Pitch AI, an Inter-School Competition held at Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road. Pitch AI was organised as a part of Spectrum 2024 to provide a platform to students to demonstrate their creativity, artistic skills, innovation, critical thinking, and technical expertise. It was a valuable opportunity for participating teams to express their abilities and creative vision.
Pitch AI was a two-stage competition where teams had to create a 2-minute advertisement to promote how artificial intelligence can help address social issues such as poverty, climate change, healthcare, or education. The team from DPS RK Puram showcased their product – an AI based solution to target the problem of weeds in the farming.
The participation in this competition helped the team from DPS RK Puram not only test their pitching skills, but at the same time learn from their competitors. The hard work and creativity of the team helped them win the second position in the competition.

The Experts Unlimited Clan of Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram, also known as the Exun clan, held the 29th edition of its Annual International Technology Symposium on the 9th and 10th of November 2024 which saw participation from over 25 schools. The online events started on 27th October 2024 and were followed by the onsite competitions and events on 9th and 10th of November. This symposium is an annual event that brings together technology experts from all over India to refine their abilities, evaluate their capabilities, and generate unforgettable experiences. The Exun Clan, one of the most reputed computer clubs in the country, was initiated by Mr Mukesh Kumar, the Head of the Computer Science Department with a small group of students in 1992. Exun can proudly speak of its growth to a family of 100 idealists and contributing members to the tech society.The Student and Alumni together take pride in hosting this event every year with great enthusiasm and zeal.
This year, Exun 2024 had 23 events that spanned over many spheres from hacking, and machine learning to Gaming and Girls in Tech. They had something for everyone, whether one was a hardcore programmer or just curious about tech. And even for those who love a challenge.The Exun Clan hosted the latest edition of the famous international cryptic hunt, Sudocrypt v14.0. The Exun Clan teamed up with other clubs of the school to bring more exciting challenges: like the DomainSquare+ with gaming showdowns; Roboknights, with mind-blowing robots competing with each other; CubXL, with cubing and racing against time; and CyberX, with cybersecurity puzzles and challenges.
This event was sponsored by Athena Education, a college counselling institute with acceptances into top universities all over the world, including the prestigious Ivy Leagues, Stanford, MIT, and more. The other notable sponsors were PlayStation, a global leader in interactive entertainment known for its innovative gaming consoles and exclusive game titles; CubeLelo, a premier destination for high-quality puzzles and brain teasers, catering to enthusiasts of all levels; and Pebble Downtown India Ltd.
The initiation of the event was heralded by the inaugural lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal Mr Anil Kumar, accompanied by the distinguished guests the Vice Principals Mr Anil Kathuria, Mr Mukesh Kumar, teachers of Computer Science department and teachers from various participating schools and Mr. Kunal from Athena Education. The ceremony began with a video made by the creative department of Exun.
In his address, the Principal Mr. Anil Kumar congratulated all the participating schools for their enthusiasm and interest in such events, emphasising that they provide excellent learning opportunities where individuals must step out of their comfort zones and demonstrate their abilities in a highly competitive environment. He also told the students that they were all winners as they were the best from their schools and hence were all winners already. He also congratulated Mr. Mukesh Kumar for his outstanding leadership, which played a key role in making the event a huge success. During his address Vice Principal and founder of Exun Clan Mr. Mukesh Kumar proudly reminisced about the formative years of Exun Club and highlighted the consistent efforts and innovative thinking of the student members which finally resulted in establishing this club as a forerunner in its field. During his address Mr. Kunal from Athena Education congratulated the members of the club and the faculty for organising such a world class event and for fostering innovative and critical thinking in the fields of computer science, robotics, designing and coding.

Hackathon: The hackathon challenges teams to develop innovative web, mobile, or command line applications based on a given prompt, culminating in a final pitch to expert judges after qualifying rounds.

Designathon: This event invites teams to present innovative design solutions, including UI/UX, posters, and videos, with finalists pitching their ideas to a panel of expert judges.

Unreality: This is a game development competition where participants create a game based on a given theme, judged on originality, gameplay, audio, and visuals. Extra points are awarded for self-made assets.
This event was judged by Aaraiv Sharma, Bharat Kashyap, Tarush Sonakya, Anup Dev Pattnaik, Kanishka Verma, Mana Sharma and Pihu Upadhyay.
2. Competitive Programming: In this competition, participants solved algorithmic problems under time constraints. The event included an online preliminary round and an intense final round covering topics like dynamic programming and graph theory.
3. Sudocrypt: Exun’s flagship event included a 36-hour Capture The Flag (CTF) and Cryptic Hunt that tested cryptography, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with evolving challenges, hints, and giveaways.
4.Turing Test: At Exun Symposium this was an online computational linguistics event, which challenged participants to solve linguistic puzzles with no prior knowledge. This competition tested participants’ analytical skills.
5. Quiz: The Exun quiz consisted of an online preliminary round followed by an offline final stage where six top teams competed on topics like technology history, current affairs, and programming. The event’s judge was Kabir Bhalla.
6. Crossword: This event challenge featured an online preliminary round, with six top teams which advanced to the final round that focused on computers, technology, and IT, using a bounce-pounce grid style.
7. Hardware: This event highlighted cutting-edge hardware, networking gear, and software, inviting participants to demonstrate their skills in solving hardware-focused challenges.This was judged by Aniket Negi.
8. Girls in Tech: This event empowers tech-enthusiast girls by building a supportive community. Shortlisted participants were paired for an offline round, promoting collaboration to increase women’s participation in STEM.This event was judged by Angad Singh, Somesh Kar, Aditya Singh and Karan Handa.
9. Group Discussion: This event invited participants to rethink core principles and present arguments on technology and ethics. It Started with video submissions, selected participants advanced to offline semifinal and final rounds.This event was Judged by Aadhya Dhar and Sameer

Gaming: PC The preliminary round was held online. This event has inspired PC Gaming among the participants and assisted them in gaining insights into their strengths and weaknesses.During the finals, participants showcased their talent by playing OG video games.

Surprise: Another surprise event, giving participants the chance to explore the world of gaming and begin an exciting journey of endless possibilities. This was Judged by Naunidh Singh Kohli.

Quiz: A fun quiz that tested their ingenuity and challenged them with questions on every aspect of video game knowledge, from classic titles to the latest trends. This was judged by Aaryak Garg.

2×2: A fast-paced 2×2 speedcubing competition for students from grades 6-12, with online prelims and offline finals. Participants competed under WCA regulations, combining speed and strategy.

3×3: Another challenging event that required an understanding of different interpretations of the provided puzzles.

Pyraminx: Participants needed to acquire an effective combination of precise memory and intuition to succeed in the puzzle they faced.

Surprise: The event showcased exciting solutions and unforeseen turns, leaving cubers astonished and motivated.

Robo soccer: A thrilling offline competition where wireless robots competed in a football match. Teams of three built two robots to score goals in 3-minute halves, adhering to size and power regulations. This event was Judged by Kshitij Gupta (NSUT),Kushagra Goel,Vibhum Aggarwal

Mx+C V6.0 Line Following Robot: Teams built autonomous robots for a high-speed line-following race on a specified track. Robots were required to handle acute turns and intersections while following a black line, with strict size and weight constraints.

13. ExML
ExML is an exciting event that challenges participants to explore the frontiers of artificial intelligence. In this dynamic competition, teams will face a complex AI-based task that requires not only technical expertise but also strategic thinking and real-time innovation. The problem presented will assess the participants’ abilities to develop intelligent systems capable of adapting to evolving and unpredictable conditions. Performance will be measured based on the technical proficiency of the solutions as well as the creativity and innovation behind them. This ensures that the most inventive and effective systems are recognized and rewarded, making ExML 2024 a premier platform for showcasing AI talent and ingenuity.

Participants will scan the network for live hosts and vulnerabilities using tools like
Nmap and Netcat. After exploiting weaknesses in services such as FTP or SSH, they’ll
escalate privileges and move laterally within the network. Finally, they’ll create a
report detailing vulnerabilities, exploits.

The closing ceremony was set in motion with addresses by the Presidents of Exun Clan, DomainSquare+, RoboKnights, CubXL, and CyberX where they shared their personal experiences related to the clubs. The event concluded with the presentations and distribution of mementoes and awards to the judges and winners respectively. We hope that the club and students continue to grow manifold each year and raise the bar successfully each year.
