IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATES

You are requested to come to DPS R. K. Puram, Sector XII (do not bring your ward with you) . Kindly bring the following papers / documents to complete the admission formalities for Pre-School for the session 2021 – 2022.


A Pay Order / Demand Draft of Rs.60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) in favour of the respective Junior School i.e. Delhi Public School, Vasant Vihar / Delhi Public School, East of Kailash payable at New Delhi, is to be submitted out of the total school fees (approx. Rs.1,80,000/-) plus applicable transport facility charges opted by the candidate. This amount will be adjusted against the fee for the academic session 2021 – 2022. The balance amount will be paid in equal instalments.  Details will be mentioned in the fee bill which will be issued in due course of time.

  • Medical Form duly completed and signed by a Registered Medical Doctor.
  • Two passport size photographs each of the child, the father and the mother.
  • Original Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation.
  • Proof of residence as listed on the school website.  Originals have to be shown for final verification.
  • In case of Sibling, the fee bill issued by the school office for the academic session 2020-2021.
  • In case of Alumni, a copy of the passing certificate of X / XII issued by CBSE..

4. Registration

Registration for the applicants under General Category will be completely Online on the school website  www.dpsrkp.net. There will be no paper form for the registration.

Important:

  • There is NO FEE charged for the Online Registration.
  • There are three steps of registration [Step 1] [Step 2] [Step 3 – Registration Complete]
  • Registration will only be considered complete when you receive a Registration Number in Step 3.
  • It is a must for the applicant to take a print out of Step 3 carrying the Registration Number on it.
  • Duplicate registration will automatically amount to the cancellation of any one of the registrations of the applicant.
  • Mismatch of the area code selected, and the residential address (colony) will amount to cancellation of the registration. The school cannot be held legally responsible for any such lapse made by the applicant.
  • Apply for admission to only one of the two Junior Schools (DPS East of Kailash OR DPS Vasant Vihar). Applications submitted in both the schools will result in the CANCELLATION of both the applications.

5. Neighbourhood Consideration

Please click on the AREA MAP for reference. However, please note that the school transport will only be provided on available routes. The school does not guarantee or commit to provide a transport facility on non-existing routes.

All areas shown from 0 – 20 KM AERIAL radii of the respective school will apply for applicants under the General Category. If you are a resident of an area lying within 20 KM radii and it is not mentioned in the list, please select the nearest area shown on the map / mentioned in the list.
Please note that the area should lie within the aerial radii of 20 KM.

6. Essential Documents Required

The applicants shall produce the relevant documents in original at the time of verification along with a set of SELF ATTESTED photocopies listed below as and when required by the school (Refer point 7 (iii)). Kindly note these are not required at the time of online registration.

Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation with the NAME of the child mentioned on the certificate.
iiFOR ALL APPLICANTS
Proof of residence (Minimum 2 out of the following)
Ration card/Smart Card issued in the name of parents (mother/father having name of the child.)
Domicile certificate of child or his / her parents.
Voter Identity Card /EPIC of any of the parents.
Electricity Bill / MTNL Telephone Bill / Water Bill / Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
Aadhar Card / Unique Identity Card in the name of any of the parents.
iiiFOR SIBLING – A copy of the latest Tuition Fee Bill paid for the Academic Session 2020-2021.
ivFOR ALUMNI (OF DPS RK PURAM ONLY) – A copy of the pass certificate of X / XII issued by CBSE.
 Admission to the school is subject to verification of the documents listed above, and submission of a letter of undertaking, self-attested by both the parents in front of the verification team. The undertaking should clearly certify that the information given is correct and the documents submitted are true copies of the original.
This undertaking will also imply that the parents accept the decision of the school to cancel the registration / admission as final and binding, if at any given time any information or document submitted is found to be wrong/fake/false/incorrect.

7. Steps involved in the Admission Process for GENERAL CATEGORY:

iAt the first instance, the names of the ‘SHORT-LISTED’ applicants who have higher value points/  above the cut-off i.e. above the points of other applicants will be put up. The ‘GENERAL Category LIST FOR DRAW OF LOTS’ (for applicants with same value points in a tie for remaining seats) will also be put up.
NOTE:
Criteria for Twins: In the case of twins, if one is selected the other twin will get sibling points. In a situation of draw of lots, the names of both will be considered in a single chit. Either both will be selected or both will not be considered for admission.
iiThe details and schedule (date, time & venue) of the ‘GENERAL CATEGORY DRAW OF LOTS’ will be available on the school website dpsrkp.net. Kindly note that SMS and/or Email will not be sent separately to intimate the same. 
The draw will be held using a random method, in public view and with complete transparency. 
The date and time (schedule) for the verification of documents for applicants within the zone of consideration will be displayed on the school website within 24 hrs. of the draw of lots.  
The school will not accept any request for a change of date or time of verification. Do not miss out on this opportunity.
iiiThe verification process of the documents will be held in the respective Junior Schools as per the assigned date & time.
Please note – 
All the correspondence will only be through email. The email(s) will be sent on the email id(s) given in the registration form to report at the school on a specified date and time for verification of documents. Check your email frequently and be alert. No SMS or telephonic call will be made by the school. No request for change of date and time will be accepted.
Both the parents of the applicant must be present to submit the self-attested copies of the above listed documents and to sign the letter of undertaking in the presence of the verification team.
In case, the parents of the applicant do not report for the verification of documents on the assigned date and time, their application will stand cancelled without any intimation from the school.
ivFIRST LIST – The First List of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN & WAITLISTED CHILDREN will be displayed on the school website for further completion of formalities i.e. filling up of the Admission Form, submission of true copies, verification of Original Certificates, medical formalities and fee deposit.
vSECOND LIST – After assessing the vacancies, the Second List (if any) of PROVISIONALLY SELECTED CHILDREN will be declared as per schedule. Accordingly, the positions of the waitlisted children under the GENERAL CATEGORY LIST will move up. In case of any further vacancies, subsequent list(s) will be declared.
viAll admissions will close on 31st March 2021.
