‘JIGYASAVASH – NURTURING CURIOSITY’ 

The Jigyasavash Biology exhibition was organized and displayed on December 4,2025 in  the Granite area. Students of Classes VI- XI occupied centre space, demonstrating their innovative, creative, critical, practical, thought provoking aptitude.A coming of age corner had students of Class IX showing the use of AI in the field of medicine . It displayed how a preliminary prognosis of an injury, using AI, can be made use of to assist the doctor. 

Another practical   use of AI was demonstrated  by another student who demonstrated how AI could help students in learning concepts stated in the textbooks.

Students illustrated the technology behind CRISPR, the gene editing revolutionary technology.

Young minds aspiring to be doctors  tested body parameters such as the Oxygen saturation levels, the Body Mass Index, Blood pressure, also a  stethoscope was shown how it amplifies the sound of the heart beat.

Students demonstrated experiments to bring to the fore the application of biological/scientific concepts at home. Experiments showcasing osmosis, diffusion, testing of water for its purity were shown. To add an element of  fun to the exhibition, there was a Quiz corner doling out prizes in the form of chocolates and pens to the winning answers.

Class XI students demonstrated isolation of DNA from banana, which fascinated everyone. Our Principal motivated students to do research on the effect of DNA of plants in the human body. Bones of Human body were well displayed wherein Class XI students explained their location and their features to identify them

To  incorporate healthy habits among students ; Class XI students displayed a variety of millets like ragi, bajra, jowar, foxtail  under the section “Mighty Millets”. They explained their effect on different organs, nutritional significance in a unique and creative way.Food Adulteration Tests were conducted. Students were taught what to look for when buying packaged food. The Ayurveda Corner exhibited herbs as medicines and prepared ‘kadha’.Class VI students also participated with full zest by being part of Smart Eats team and showcasing analysis of nutritional labels of Chaach,Juice,Chips, Chocolate and their healthy alternatives such as fox nuts,fruits,  almonds and Dark Chocolate.

The exhibition was  graced and well received by the Principal Mr Anil Kumar, Vice Principals and the Headmistress. The Principal engaged and interacted with every student putting up the exhibits. The idea ofexhibition was put up by  Ms Niva Chhonkar, HoD- Biology and diligently executed by the Biology Department Teachers.
