A team of 5 students from Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram was placed third at the International NASA AMES Space Settlement Design Contest and were invited to attend the 32nd Annual International Space Development Conference 2013 (ISDC 2013) to be held in San Diego, California from the 23rd – 27th May 2013, organised in collaboration by the National Space Society (NSS) and NASA. The team comprised Bharat Kashyap, Siddharth Bhogra and Tanay Vardhan from class XI and Abhishek Anand and Akshay Gupta from class X, they were accompanied by Mr. Anil Verma, senior physics teacher and in-charge of the Aerospace Society. The Keynote speakers in the conference included legendary astronaut, Buzz Aldrin and Former President APJ Abdul Kalam, who congratulated the students on the extraordinary achievement.
