INTERNATIONAL ADOLESCENT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2025

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram participated in the International Adolescent Leadership Summit on Life Skills, Resilience, Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing, organised by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, and Expressions India from 17–19 December 2025 at National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi.

Day 1 featured Swasthya Sangam, a National Exhibition on Mental Health and Wellbeing, where DPS R.K. Puram showcased student-led creative work highlighting life skills, mental health, gender sensitivity, child rights, and wellbeing practices. The display included the school’s counselling model based on four pillars—Behavioural, Mental Health, Special Needs, and Career Counselling—along with a meditation corner and interactive activities promoting mindfulness and positivity. The day also featured Yuva Sansad, a National Adolescent Parliament, with Pratyusha Bhatt (XI U) representing the school. Students further participated in UTOPIA, a painting and poster-making competition, and Pathshala Nukkad Ki, a street play on “Save the Girl Child.”

Day 2 focused on expression and performance. Kavin Chaudhary (XI V) represented the school at The Young Orators for Wellbeing, while Anika Singh (IX G) participated in Manonritya, an Indian classical dance competition. The summit was graced by Shri Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV, who addressed students on leadership, mental health, and emerging technological challenges such as AI and deepfakes. The day concluded with an awards ceremony recognising talent, creativity, and leadership.

Day 3 comprised masterclass workshops for school counsellors on child protection, legal literacy, and holistic wellbeing, with a focus on the POCSO Act, 2012. The summit concluded with the school Principals receiving the Citation of Honour for exemplary leadership and contribution to promoting life skills and student wellbeing.

Outstanding Achievements:
DPS R.K. Puram delivered an exemplary performance at the summit, earning multiple accolades. The school secured 1st Prize (Exemplary) in Swasthya Sangam (Exhibition), Yuva Sansad (National Adolescent & Youth Parliament), Manonritya (Solo Dance), and Pathshala Nukkad Ki (Street Play). The team also won 2nd Prize (Meritorious) in Young Orators and 3rd Prize (Outstanding) in UTOPIA, the thematic painting competition. In recognition of their participation, leadership, and excellence, all students were conferred with the ‘Medal of Honour’.

Overall, the summit proved to be an enriching and empowering experience, fostering leadership, creativity, and social awareness among adolescents.
