A workshop on ‘Importance of Legal Information on Child Rights’ took place on 22nd February, 2023 in the Audio Visual Hall. The speaker Ms. Charu Makkar highlighted the importance of understanding Child Rights for teachers and how this awareness can help teachers operate better in the classrooms.
The speaker made the teachers aware about child rights such as right to free and compulsory education, right to be protected from any hazardous employment till 14 years of age, right to be protected from being trafficked and forced into bonded labour etc. She shared her experiences of dealing with aforementioned cases and what action needs to be taken. It was a very informative workshop.
