The comperes, Samyak Kapoor and Divyansh Nayan, enthusiastically welcomed the audience and the Guest Speakers, and presented them with a virtual token of appreciation. This was followed by the honourable Principal Ms. Padma Srinivasan’s address to the gathering, in which she expressed her gratitude to both guest speakers for being there as a mentor to the aspiring students of classes IX and XI, and congratulated them on their respective successes. She highlighted the importance of such programmes and urged Adhya and Tanmay to inspire the budding students of DPS RK Puram and provide them with insightful tips.

The Question and Answer session was conducted by Divyansh Nayan and Sneha Chandra. Students, as well as teachers, asked their questions to both speakers.

Mr. Tanmay Gupta gave intensive and patient responses to all questions, emphasising the importance of school and teachers in achieving an excellent score in competitive exams as he did. He encouraged the students to practice self-discipline and consistency during their preparation times, while also keeping time for extracurricular activities as stress busters and meaningful time to interact with family and peers. He also recommended study techniques, books, revision tricks and such to the attendees.

Ms. Adhya Sharma gave elaborate and helpful answers, coupled with insightful anecdotes, to respond to the audience’s questions. She went over the process of filling out applications, appearing for standardised tests, applying for financial aid, and writing essays in detail to help the students out, and also gave accounts of her personal experience during the same. She talked about cultural differences between India and the US, instances of homesickness, network making friends, and how she dealt with them as a first-year. Her elaborate accounts were incredibly helpful to the students who hope to follow in her footsteps.

The session was concluded by Sahana Agarwal on a high note, who left the audience with inspiring words. The event was organised by Ms. Shelly Malhotra and Ms. Archna Deepak, with technical support from Mr. Mukesh Kumar and his team.
