French Exchange Programme was held from 17 October 2024 to 23 October 2024. DPS R.K. Puram collaborated with Lycée St. Ambroise in Chambery, France. The exchange program was started in 2007. The sixth exchange programme with Lycée St. Ambroise, Chambery, is underway.
Eighteen French students accompanied by two teachers, Mr Pierre Guillot and Ms Muriel Bouvier, visited our school. The French students stayed with their Indian counterparts in Classes X and XI . They were delighted to be here during the festive period and learnt about Indian customs and traditions. The French students interacted with the Vice Principals and Headmistress upon their arrival at school. They were given a short tour of the school. They visited Akshardham Temple, Lodhi Garden, Humayun’s tomb, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rashtrapati Bhawan Museum and India Gate during their stay. Some host families even took their French counterparts on outstation trips to Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Nainital.
On the last day, the school hosted a cultural evening and a farewell dinner for the visiting delegation and the host families. The exchange was not just a visit but a rich cultural learning experience for students of both countries. It gave our students a unique opportunity to interact with native French speakers and showcase our traditions and cultures to them.
