On 29 August 2019, the National Sports Day – A nationwide campaign was launched by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi called ‘Fit India Movement’. It aimed at inculcating physical fitness and sports in the lives of every citizen of this country. Mr Narendra Modi addressed the country from Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. This address was broadcast by every television channel. The students and the staff of DPS, RK Puram participated in this movement by watching the show live at various venues and took a fitness pledge to keep our nation healthy and fit in the years to come.
