Festival Della Scienza 4.0

“Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world.” – Louis Pasteur

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, hosted its prestigious Annual Inter-School Science Festival, Festival Della Scienza 4.0, on 26 April 2025. Meticulously organised by the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, the festival celebrated the spirit of inquiry, discovery, and innovation under the evocative theme “Esploriamo e sperimentiamo la scienza intorno a noi”“Let us explore and experience science around us.”

Students from 39 distinguished schools across Delhi-NCR converged for this grand celebration of science, driven by their shared passion and insatiable curiosity. Conducted in both virtual and physical formats, the festival witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 600 students and educators, who showcased their extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, and scientific ingenuity. The event was sponsored by Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital.

The festival was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Meinal Chaudhry, Director of Radiodiagnosis and Interventional Radiology at Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital. Dr. Chaudhry, an eminent figure in the field of medical sciences, delivered an inspiring keynote address. She spoke passionately about the pivotal role that young scientific minds will play in addressing global health and environmental challenges. Emphasising resilience, ethical research, and innovation, she urged students to remain ever-curious and relentless in their quest for solutions that benefit humanity.

Also gracing the occasion was Professor Dhananjay V. Gadre, Associate Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), New Delhi. Professor Gadre, who leads the Centre for Electronic Design and Technology (CEDT) and the TI Centre for Embedded Product Design (TI-CEPD), engaged dynamically with the students. He encouraged them to blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on creativity, highlighting the importance of applied science and design thinking. Commending the innovation and zeal displayed by participants, he shared invaluable lessons from his journey, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.

Together, these distinguished personalities, along with the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, felicitated the winners and celebrated the vibrant spirit of scientific exploration embodied by the young participants.

The events were conducted in a hybrid mode with both Online and Offline events drawing a huge participation from the students.

Valedictory Ceremony

The Valedictory Ceremony was a fitting culmination to a day brimming with scientific fervour. The Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, delivered an inspiring address, congratulating the participants for their excellence and applauding their spirit of inquiry and innovation. He emphasised the importance of nurturing a scientific temper and global citizenship among students, urging them to remain fearless in their exploration of new frontiers.

He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Heads of Departments — Ms. Niva Chhonkar (Biology), Mr. Ajay Goel (Physics) for their exemplary leadership and meticulous planning, ensuring the flawless execution of the festival. Special appreciation was extended to the organising teachers, volunteers, support staff, and technical teams for their tireless dedication.

In a specially curated presentation during the ceremony, glimpses from the day’s events were showcased, offering the audience a vibrant montage of the energy and enthusiasm displayed by students across various competitions. Additionally, the winning entries of the top three performers in the online events—Scientific Photography, Reels with a Message, and Mind Map Design—were screened, drawing warm appreciation from the audience for the creativity and originality exhibited by the participants.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Vice Principal Mr. Mukesh Kumar, who expressed his gratitude to the Principal for his constant encouragement, to the Department Heads for their synergistic coordination, to the faculty for their hard work, and to the participants for making the event a grand success.
