Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj organized the Environment Festival ‘Green Wave’ on the occasion of Earth Day on 30th April. Various competitions were held. In ‘Just a Minute’, Anway Tewari of Class XI J spoke on Recycling and won the First Prize. In ‘Best out of waste Competition’, the First Prize was bagged by an exhibit made from Egg Shells and a windchime by Vasundhara Rakesh, Shraddha Anand and Srishti Soni of X J.
The topic for Face Painting was ‘Sea Animals’. Somya Luthra and Kaushitaki Sharma of VIII H painted an underwater scenery .In the Photography Competition, Antara Joglekar of XII W won the second prize.
DPS,R.K.Puram was declared overall winners of the event. The Principal, Dr D.R.Saini along with the Vice Principal, Ms Shobha Mehta; Headmistress, Ms Anita Singh; and Head of the Biology Department, Mr S.K.Arora appreciated the effort of the students and encouraged them to take up environment related issues seriously and inspire others to do the same. The students were guided by Ms Niva Chhonkar, Environment Activity Incharge and Ms Reema Khosla
