Competency-based education (CBE) is a method of education and training that gives people the flexibility to learn at a pace that suits them. A session on CBE was conducted by Prof. Ramachandran in the D Block on 11 March 2024 for all Physics and Mathematics Teachers. The Resource Person explained the relevance of understanding knowledge, capacities, values and dispositions in teaching sciences. He illustrated the outcome based approach to teaching science of different stages of school education and the various curricular goals and competencies required at different stages of development. The session was extremely enlightening and informative.
