The Commerce and Economics Departments of Delhi Public School RK Puram organized a captivating exhibition on 23rd January 2025, showcasing the CBSE Project work of Class XI students in Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics. Under the expert guidance of their teachers, the students brought theoretical concepts to life through detailed project files and models.
The Accountancy Department exhibited projects where students meticulously prepared the books of accounts of a sole proprietorship business. The exhibits demonstrated the various steps of the accounting cycle, including the journal, ledger, trial balance, trading and profit and loss account, and balance sheet, offering a practical glimpse into real-world accounting processes.
The Business Studies Department presented a diverse array of projects and models covering topics such as field visits to a handicraft unit, an industry, a wholesale market, a departmental store, or a mall. They also showcased case studies on products, aids to trade, import/export procedures, and visits to state emporiums, creatively illustrating key concepts from the subject.
The Economics Department displayed an impressive collection of project files and models on engaging topics such as solar energy, bumper agricultural production, theory of consumer behavior, substitute and complementary goods, forms of market, demand and a fascinating Market Maze. These projects effectively translated classroom learning into innovative and thought-provoking exhibits.
The exhibition was graced by the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, the Vice-Principal, Mr. Anil Kathuria, and the Headmistresses, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra and Dr. Anubha Gopal. Their presence and words of encouragement inspired both students and teachers. Students from Classes IX and XI attended the event and enthusiastically explored the displays, gaining valuable insights into the applications of concepts from Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics. During the event, the annual magazines for the three subjects—Finzine for Accountancy, Bizzbanter for Business Studies, and Econox for Economics—were unveiled by the Principal.
In essence, the exhibition served as a platform for students to showcase their academic acumen, creative thinking, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
