Eligibility Criteria for Registration

Criteria as per the Results of 

Class X Pre-Board (Term 1) Exam

[The final admission will be subject to the Same Criteria based on the Final Results of Class X]

(CRITERIA I along with CRITERIA II are essential for registration)

CRITERIA – I

Aggregate in 5 subjects*

Aggregate of 80% and above

CRITERIA – II

FOR SCIENCE STREAM

Minimum 80% in each subject – English, Mathematics & Science

FOR COMMERCE STREAM

Minimum 80%  in each subject – English & Mathematics

FOR HUMANITIES STREAM

Only Criteria I

*Marks of (i) English, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Science, (iv) Social Science and (v) Second Language of Class X will only be considered. Other subjects will not be considered for  admission to Class XI.

 

Important:

[A]

Marks issued by the School will be verified during the final admission process.

[B]

“Predicted Marks” issued by the school will not be acceptable.

[C]

The applicants not satisfying the eligibility will not get admission.

 

Admission Procedure

Applicants can only register Online by clicking the “Online Registration” link starting on 15th February 2022. Any application received prior to 15th February 2022 in any form will not be considered/accepted as registration for Class XI Admission Session 2022-2023.

The School Administration reserves the right to offer admission to meritorious applicants only, since there are limited seats in all three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities.

 

2.1

Selection Criteria: The selection of applicants for the Provisional Admission will be on the basis of their merit position in the Admission Test. The admission will only be considered confirmed after receiving the Final Class X Board Results.

Total Duration of the Test: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

  • The applicant with symptoms of cold, cough or Flu will not be allowed to sit for the Admission Test.

  • Wearing of the Mask covering mouth as well as nose will be compulsory

  • It is compulsory for applicants to come in the uniform of their present school. 

  • The applicants will also be videographed & photographed in the examination rooms for authentication of identity.

 

2.3

Important instructions to the applicants appearing for the Admission Test:

  1. Reporting Time for the Admission Test: 08:20 am

  2. It is compulsory for each applicant to carry the following, which will be verified at the School Gate

    • A printout of Online Registration Slip

    • A small transparent sanitizer bottle.

    • A valid Original Identity Card/Aadhaar Card/Passport with a photograph of self.

    • Water in a transparent bottle

The candidate will not be allowed to sit for the test if the identity document is not found in order.

  1. Applicants must carry a blue/black ball pen for marking answers on an OMR Answer sheet.

Important: Any personal belongings other than those, which are mentioned above, such as Papers, Notebooks, Bags, Mobile phones, Watches and other Electronic Gadgets are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the examination rooms. School will not make any arrangements for keeping the applicants’ belongings outside the examination room/inside the school campus. 

Every examination room is equipped with a Wall Clock.

Admission to the hostel will be granted for two academic years i.e. 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 (Classes XI & XII). No withdrawal from the hostel will be permitted during the above mentioned period. All Hostellers will have to pay the hostel fee in advance as per the schedule given below. 

Important: Any candidate, who is residing outside Delhi-NCR will not be allowed admission as Day Scholar. Also, any candidate, who is residing in Delhi-NCR will not be allowed admission as Hosteller.

All information with regard to registration and selection will be communicated online on the school website. Separate intimation will not be sent to any candidate.

Fee Details

 

6.1

School Fee (for both Day Scholars and Hostellers)

  

A demand draft of Rs.75,000/- in favour of DPS R.K. Puram, payable at New Delhi, to be submitted out of the total school fees (approx. Rs.1,92,000/-# excluding transport fee). This amount will be adjusted against the fee for the academic session 2022-2023. The balance amount will be paid in equal installments. 

Details will be mentioned in the fee bill which will be issued in the due course of time.

 

6.2

Hostel Fee (Only for Hostellers)

  

A separate demand draft of Rs.3,95,500/-# is also to be submitted in favour of DPS R.K Puram, payable at New Delhi, towards hostel fees for the academic year 2022-2023.

Documents and other essential items to be submitted

7.1

School Enrolment form duly filled and signed by the parents of the candidate.

7.3

  • A self attested photocopy of the Class X Pre-Board Term 1 Mark Sheet issued by the present school (Satisfying the Eligibility Criteria as mentioned above).
  • A copy of class X admit card

A self attested photocopy of the Class X Final Result* Marksheet will be required to be submitted immediately after the declaration of the final board results. Original Marksheet will be required for verification.

* Confirmation of Admission is subject to the final result of Class X. 

 

7.4

Two passport size photographs of the student, and two each of both father & mother.

 

7.5

Self Attested photocopy of residence proof. Any one of the following:

  • Voters Identity Card / Passport / UID (Aadhar Card) / Ration Card

(Original documents must be produced for verification. Head of the family should be either father or mother in case of ration-card.)

 

7.6

Day Scholar’s Medical Form duly filled and signed by parents and a Medical Officer.

 

7.7

Undertaking form (Day Scholars as well as Hostellers) duly filled and signed by parents.

 

7.8

Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.

 

7.9

Transfer Certificate (in original), duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective area, to be submitted in the 1st week of July 2022.

DPS R.K. Puram is a day-cum-boarding school for both boys and girls. Seats in the school hostel are limited, and are granted only to meritorious students. Once admission is granted in the hostel, students will not be permitted to withdraw during the course of the academic session 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. No refund will be made during mid-session.

The school provides transport facilities, but there is no guarantee that a seat in the school bus will be made available when the buses are full to capacity or do not ply in the area of residence. Transport once provided will not be discontinued during the academic session by the parents. However, the school reserves the right to change the school bus route or cancel the transport facility depending on the situation.

Registration of the candidate does not ensure admission. All decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding.

Date of joining for Day Scholars as well as Hostellers will be intimated later.

Only the registration form, which is submitted online for the session 2022-2023 will be considered as valid registration for admission to Class 11 (2022-2023). All the applications/letters for admission received before the commencement of online registration will be considered null and void.

The school will not entertain any request for change of Stream/Status after selection for admission.

The school reserves the right to change/amend any of the above mentioned schedule and criteria at any point of time (if so required). These changes will be displayed on the school website only. All concerned are requested to keep checking the school website frequently.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR THE HOSTEL

HOSTEL RULES

The following documents / formalities (including information on the student’s weekend visits and “going out schedule”) must be completed on separate forms before the students join the hostel.

H1

An authority letter from the parent giving details of two persons from different families, who will act as local guardians, indicating their names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses along with their photographs.

H2

A health certificate regarding medical history etc., which must be duly checked and signed by a registered medical doctor / school doctor, parents and the concerned student. If a student is allergic to any medicine or has any special medical requirements, it should be mentioned in the medical certificate.

H3

The School uniform requirements must be met by the parents. A list of articles of clothing and other items are available in the Hostel Rules/Guidelines.

H4

It is obligatory for the Parents / Local Guardians to attend Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM schedule is given in the School Almanac).

H5

Parents / Local Guardians are required to leave a telephone number, email  and residential address in Delhi, for immediate contact, in case of an emergency.

H6

Both the Local Guardians must be present at the time of admission and reporting to the hostel.

H7

The number of photographs mentioned below must be submitted by the hostellers as a part of the admission formalities.

 

(i) Students – 4 Copies

 

(ii) Local Guardians – 4 Copies of each Local Guardian

 

(iii) Father and Mother – 4 Copies of each

All applicants selected for hostel accommodation will have to undergo a medical check-up by the school doctor before joining the hostel.

Schedules of joining the hostel and meeting with the principal will be intimated later.

It is mandatory for the local guardians to take complete responsibility for his / her ward in time of sickness / emergency / weekends / holidays and travel etc.

N4

Only married couples, living in a family set-up, with telephone facilities, will be allowed to act as local guardians. No student will be allowed to be a local guardian of a hostel student.
