
Topic- Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi Jayanti is an event celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It is celebrated annually on 2 October, and it is one of the three national holidays of India. The UN General Assembly announced on 15 June 2007 that it adopted a resolution which declared that 2 October will be celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence.
Keeping this idea in mind, an enthralling presentation by class VI-B on this theme began with a warm welcome by Dhruv Kumar. A melodious morning prayer “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram…” was sung by Vineeta Singh. Abia and Tejasvi Raj presented a meaningful thought for the day in English and Sanskrit After this, an interesting anecdote was shared by Pia Nandwani. Akansh recited a beautiful self-composed poem “Bapu, our Pride” on Gandhiji highlighting his beliefs and the vote of thanks was delivered by Saisha. Kavya Arora prepared the creative and colourful e-invites.
