CLASS IX ADMISSION PROCESS 2022-23

INSTRUCTION FOR SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES

  1. Download the Enrolment Form by Clicking Here, fill in each entry carefully, sign and submit the same in the school as per the schedule along with all the required documents as listed in the instructions provided on the school website. 

  2. Medical Form (It is part of Enrolment Form only) duly filled and signed by parents and a Medical Officer.

  3. Undertaking form (It is part of Enrolment Form only) duly filled and signed by parents.

  4. A demand draft of Rs.75,000/- in favour of DPS R.K. Puram, payable at New Delhi, is to be submitted out of the total school fees (approx. Rs.1,92,000/- excluding transport fee). This amount will be adjusted against the fee for the academic session 2022-2023. The balance amount will be paid in equal installments. Details will be mentioned in the fee bill which will be issued in due course of time.

  5. A self attested photocopy of the Class 8 Half Yearly Result* Marksheet. 

* Confirmation of Admission is subject to the final result of Class 8 and submission of the Final Result Marksheet.

  1. Two passport size photographs of the student, and two each of both father & mother.

  2. A copy of birth certificate 

  3. Self Attested photocopy of residence proof.  (Only Resident of Delhi-NCR will be eligible)

Any one of the following:

Voters Identity Card / Passport / UID (Aadhar Card) / Ration Card

(Original documents must be produced for verification. Head of the family should be either father or mother in case of ration-card.)

  1. Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended, to be submitted within 15 days after taking the admission.

  2. Transfer Certificate# (in original), duly countersigned by the Inspector of Schools of the respective area, to be submitted within 15 days after taking the admission.

 

#The admission will remain provisional till the Transfer Certificate (In Original) and Character (In Original) are submitted.

As per request from many prospective applicants, we will be conducting Admission Test for Class IX on Sunday, 13th March, 2022 instead of Saturday, 12th March, 2022

2. Admission Criteria

(a)

Online Registration: Tuesday, 15th February, 2022 to Wednesday, 9th March 2022

(b)

The registration will only be done through the ONLINE FORM w.e.f. Tuesday, 15th February, 2022. Any application related to admission submitted before Tuesday, 15th February, 2022 will be considered null and void.

(c)

Minimum Age: As per the minimum age mentioned in the table above.

(d)

Eligibility: Successful completion of the previous class.

(e)

Mode of selection: Class 9 admissions will be based on the (i) Successful completion of the previous class. (ii) Merit Position in the result of The Admission Test to be conducted on Sunday, 13th March, 2022 and (iii) Verification of documents of shortlisted candidates.

Note: Every year, we have more applicants than the number of seats available. Therefore, if a candidate is unable to secure a seat, it is in no way a reflection of his/her calibre.

Total Duration of the Test: 2 Hours 45 Minutes

  • The applicant with symptoms of cold, cough or Flu will not be allowed to sit for the Admission Test.

  • Wearing of the Mask covering mouth as well as nose will be compulsory

  • It is compulsory for applicants to come in the uniform of their present school. 

  • The applicants will also be videographed & photographed in the examination rooms for authentication of identity.

Important instructions to the applicants appearing for the Admission Test:

  1. Reporting Time for the Admission Test: 08:20 am

  2. It is compulsory for each applicant to carry the following, which will be verified at the School Gate

    • A printout of Online Registration Slip

    • A small transparent sanitizer bottle.

    • A valid Original Identity Card/Aadhaar Card/Passport with a photograph of self.

    • Water in a transparent bottle

The candidate will not be allowed to sit for the test if the identity document is not found in order.

  1. Applicants must carry a blue/black ball pen for marking answers on an OMR Answer sheet.

Important: Any personal belongings other than those, which are mentioned above, such as Papers, Notebooks, Bags, Mobile phones, Watches and other Electronic Gadgets are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the examination rooms. School will not make any arrangements for keeping the applicants’ belongings outside the examination room/inside the school campus. 

Every examination room is equipped with a Wall Clock.

4. Admission Formalities (For successful applicants only):

(a)

Fee Details

5. Important

(a)

Parents will certify that all the information provided by them is correct. If the information is found to be incorrect or false, their ward shall be automatically debarred from the selection / admission process and appropriate action will be taken accordingly.

(b)

Parents will understand that the application / registration / shortlisting does not guarantee admission to their ward.

(c)

It is expected that all students would have studied three languages upto Class 8 and she/he has passed in the third language. The school will not entertain any request for change of Second Language after selection for admission. 

(d)

Parents will accept the process of admission undertaken by the school and abide by the decision taken by the school authorities.
