FOR SCIENCE STREAM

Minimum 75%  in each subject – English, Science, Mathematics

FOR COMMERCE STREAM

Minimum 75%  in each subject – English & Mathematics

FOR HUMANITIES STREAM

Only CRITERIA – I

*Marks of (i) English, (ii) Mathematics, (iii) Science, (iv) Social Science and (v) Second Language of Class 10 will only be considered. Other subjects will not be considered for  admission to Class 11.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 

Provisional admission will be granted to candidates based on the merit list of the Admission Test conducted by the school. However, this admission will stand cancelled if the candidate fails to secure a minimum aggregate of 80% in the Board Examination. In the event of such cancellation, the amount of school and hostel fees deposited by the candidate will be refunded in full, without any deduction.

Admission Procedure

Applicants can only register Online by clicking the “Online Registration” link on the school website starting from Saturday 01 November, 2025. Any application/request received prior to Saturday 01 November, 2025 in any form will not be considered/accepted as registration for the admission in the Academic Session 2026-2027. There will be a registration fee of Rs. 25 per registration, which will be charged online during the process of online registration.

The School Administration reserves the right to offer admission to meritorious applicants only, since there are limited seats in all three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities.

 

2.1

Selection Criteria: The selection of applicants for the Provisional Admission will be on the basis of their merit position in the Admission Test. The admission will only be considered confirmed after receiving the Final Class 10 Board Results.

To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. The marks will be awarded in the following manner:

  • Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)

  • Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).

  • Unanswered questions will be given no mark (0).

2.3

Important instructions to the applicants appearing for the Admission Test:

  1. Reporting Time for the Admission Test: 08:20 am

  2. It is compulsory for each applicant to carry the following, which will be verified at the School Gate

    • A printout of Online Registration Slip

    • A valid Original Identity Card/Aadhaar Card/Passport with a photograph of self.

    • Water in a transparent bottle

The candidate will not be allowed to sit for the test if the identity document is not found in order.

  1. Applicants must carry a blue/black ball pen for marking answers on an OMR Answer sheet.

  2. It is compulsory for applicants to come in the uniform of their present school. 

  3. The applicants will also be videographed & photographed in the examination rooms for authentication of identity.

Important: Any personal belongings other than those, which are mentioned above, such as Papers, Notebooks, Bags, Mobile phones, Watches and other Electronic Gadgets are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the examination rooms. The school will not make any arrangements for keeping the applicants’ belongings outside the examination room/inside the school campus. 

Every examination room is equipped with a Wall Clock.

Admission to the hostel will be granted for two academic sessions i.e. 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 (Classes 11 & 12). No withdrawal from the hostel will be permitted during the above mentioned period. All Hostellers will have to pay the hostel fee in advance as per the schedule given below. 

Important: Any candidate, who is residing outside Delhi-NCR will not be considered for admission as a Day Scholar. Also, any candidate, who is residing in Delhi-NCR will not be considered for admission as a Hosteller. 

Outstation candidates will not be given admission if they opt to stay alone (without Parents) outside the school premises in an independent/private accommodation.

Fee Details

 

6.1

School Fee (for both Day Scholars and Hostellers)

  

Online payment of 1,00,000/- in favour of DPS R.K. Puram, payable at New Delhi, to be submitted out of the total school fees (approx. 2,62,000/-# excluding transport fee). This amount will be adjusted against the fee for the academic session 2026-2027. The balance amount will be paid in subsequent installments. A detailed Fee Bill will be issued in the due course of time.

Hostel Fee (Only for Hostellers)

Online Payment of 4,82,830/-# (approximate per annum amount including one time Hostel Admission charges and refundable Security Deposit) is also to be submitted in favour of DPS R.K Puram, payable at New Delhi, towards hostel fees for the academic session 2026-2027.

The fee will not be refunded in case of withdrawal during the academic session.

The school fee will be charged from the beginning of the session (April 2026).  

On submission of the School leaving certificate, Tuition fee will be charged from the month of the date of admission or ‘the school leaving date/fee paid up to the month mentioned on the Transfer Certificate, whichever is earlier.

Documents and other essential items to be submitted

7.1

School Enrolment form duly filled and signed by the parents of the candidate.  

(For Selected Day Scholars and Hostellers)

Note: It is compulsory to fill PEN (Permanent Education Number), APAAR ID and UDISE number in the Admission Form. PEN number, APAAR ID and UDISE number will be available from the school presently being attended.

 

7.2

Hostel Admission Form duly filled and signed by the parents of the candidate.  

(For Selected Hostellers)

 

7.3

A self attested photocopy of the Class 10 Pre-Board Mark Sheet issued by the present school (Satisfying the Eligibility Criteria as mentioned above).

A self attested photocopy of the Class 10 Final Result* Marksheet will be required to be submitted immediately after the declaration of the final board results. Original Marksheet will be required for verification.

* Confirmation of Admission is subject to the final board result of Class 10 satisfying the criteria. 

 

7.4

A copy of the Birth Certificate, Two passport size photographs of the student, and two each of both father & mother.

 

7.5

Self Attested photocopy of residence proof. Any one of the following:

  • Voters Identity Card / Passport / UID (Aadhar Card) 

(Original documents must be produced for verification.)

 

7.6

Day Scholar’s Medical Form duly filled and signed by parents and a registered Medical Practitioner.

 

7.7

Undertaking form (Day Scholars as well as Hostellers) duly filled and signed by the parents.

Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.

Transfer Certificate (in original) to be submitted by the 1st week of July 2026.

DPS R.K. Puram is a day-cum-boarding school for both boys and girls. Seats in the school hostel are limited, and are granted only to the meritorious students. Once admission is granted in the hostel, students will not be permitted to withdraw during the course of the academic session 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. No refund will be made during mid-session.

The school provides transport facilities only on request by parents, but there is no assurance that a seat in the school bus will be made available when the buses are already running in full capacity or do not ply to the area of residence. Transport once provided will not be discontinued during the academic session by the parents. However, the school reserves the right to change the school bus route or cancel the transport facility depending on the situation.

The registration of the candidate in the admission process of DPS RK Puram does not in itself  guarantee admission. All decisions of the Admission Committee will be final and binding.

Date of joining for Day Scholars as well as Hostellers will be intimated later.

The school will not entertain any request for change of Stream/Subjects/Status after the selection of the candidate for admission.

The school reserves the right to change/amend any of the above mentioned schedules and/or criteria at any point of time (if required). These changes will be displayed on the school website only. All concerned are requested to keep checking the school website regularly.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR THE HOSTEL

HOSTEL RULES

The following documents / formalities (including information on the student’s weekend visits and “going out schedule”) must be completed on separate forms before the students join the hostel.

H0

Special arrangements are available for the students preparing for JEE/NEET/CUET/CLAT entrance examinations.

Counselors available for admission into Indian and International Universities/ Institutions/ Colleges.

H1

An authority letter from the parent giving details of two persons from different families, who will act as local guardians, indicating their names, addresses, mobile numbers and email addresses along with their photographs.

H2

A health certificate regarding medical history etc., which must be duly checked and signed by a registered medical doctor / school doctor, parents and the concerned student. If a student is allergic to any medicine or has any special medical requirements, it should be mentioned in the medical certificate. It is mandatory to provide details of any mental/physical health issues faced by the applicant/ student.

The School uniform requirements must be met by the parents. A list of articles of clothing and other items are available in the Hostel Rules/Guidelines.

H4

It is obligatory for the Parents / Local Guardians to attend Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM schedule is given in the School Almanac).

H5

Parents / Local Guardians are required to leave a telephone number, email  and residential address in Delhi, for immediate contact, in case of an emergency.

Both the Local Guardians must be present at the time of admission and reporting to the hostel.

The number of photographs mentioned below must be submitted by the hostellers as a part of the admission formalities.

 

(i) Students – 4 Copies

All applicants selected for hostel accommodation will have to undergo a medical check-up by the school doctor before joining the hostel.

Schedules of joining the hostel and meeting with the principal will be intimated later.

It is mandatory for the local guardians to take complete responsibility for his / her ward in case of sickness / emergency / weekends / holidays and travel.. etc.

Only a married couple, living in a family set-up, will be allowed to act as local guardian. No student will be allowed to be a local guardian of a hostel student.
