Peace – A Choice We Make
The students of Classes XII P and XII Q presented a meaningful and inspiring morning assembly on the theme “Peace – A Choice We Make,” reminding everyone that peace begins with our everyday thoughts, words, and actions. The assembly commenced with the soulful prayer “Teri Hai Zameen,” rendered by Ahan, Abreeq, Aditya, Aarav, Aryaman, Siddhant, Darsh, Kavish, Ranbir, Prabhansh, Reyansh, Prithvi, Raghav, Sarthak, Samarth, Shaurya, Taskirat Singh, and Vajra of XII P, along with Chhavi, Bhaumik, Raghuveer, Jasnoor, Aditya, Keshav, Vihaan, Aryan, and Tanmay of XII Q, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and reflection.
This was followed by an inspiring Thought for the Day presented by Shobhit of XII P and Tanmay and Vihaan of XII Q. A profound Sanskrit shloka, highlighting the timeless values of harmony, compassion, and universal well-being, was recited by Shruti of XII Q, followed by its English translation by Itika of XII P. The programme then moved to a graceful Ganesh Vandana presented by Anvi and Shruti of XII Q, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for wisdom, peace, and harmony.
The assembly continued with thought-provoking speeches by Ayan, Amaira, Manasvi, and Shireen of XII P, along with Mihika, Anya, Tamira, and Mishika of XII Q. Their reflections explored the importance of making peace a conscious choice in our homes, schools, and society, inspiring everyone to embrace empathy, kindness, and understanding as the true foundations of lasting peace. Adding a touch of musical elegance, a captivating violin recital by T. Manasa of XII Q filled the auditorium with serenity and grace. The choir, comprising Ahan, Ananya, Amaira, Ashi, Aryaman, Naisha, Ronil, and Priyansh of XII P together with T Manasa, Mihika, Mishika, Anya, Tamaira and Tanmayy of XII Q, further enriched the programme with a spirited rendition of “Count on Me, “celebrating friendship, trust, and the spirit of standing by one another.
The assembly concluded on a vibrant note with a foot-tapping Bhangra performance by Ashi, Lavanya, Itika, and Rudransh of XII P, along with Saanvi, Parvi, and Adwita of XII Q. The energetic performance beautifully symbolised the joy, unity, and optimism that flourish when peace becomes a conscious choice. The programme left the audience with a powerful message: Peace is not merely the absence of conflict; it is a conscious choice that each one of us can make every day through compassion, respect, and understanding.
The comperes for the assembly were Hriday, Ishani, and Samaiya of XII P, along with Maheep, Parvi, Harshita, Nityam, Sanjit, and Viraj of XII Q. The E-invite was designed by Itika of XII P and Shruti of XII Q. The display board and folders were prepared by Amaira, Ananya, Ashi, Myra, and Naisha of XII P, along with Anya and Tamira of XII Q. The digital presentation was created by Vitabhay of XII P, together with Deep and Ritwik of XII Q. The invitation card was designed by Ashi of XII P, along with Vishesh and Vedant of XII Q.
