TOPIC: “PEACE”
The Path to True Peace.
“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” With this thought in mind, classes X-M and X-N came together to present a morning assembly aimed at conveying the timeless message that peace begins with the wisdom to respond to suffering with compassion.
The morning prayer, seeking to create a peaceful atmosphere for the assembly, was sung by Aarnav, Soham, Aakrisht, Siddhesh, Satej, Sumit, Mahek, Abhinav, Kumudha, Megha, Karthik, Aryavrat, Aadvik and Sanibh. Then the headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal, welcomed everyone with an eloquent prayer. This was followed by a Ganesh Vandana performed by Agrima and Pankhuri. Shaunak, Aarnav, Niyati and Satvik presented the thoughts for the day. The news was delivered by Aarav K., Aarav G., Viaan and Tanush. The assembly then moved on to a skit portraying the journey of Gautam Buddha and the path he took to peace. The actors in the skit were Aniket, Shaunak, Shivanshi, Naba, Ashlen, Vivaan, Arhaan, Yug, Dev, Saanvi, Karthik and Aryavrat, while Astha, Jia, Anvesha and Akshainie served as narrators.
Following the skit was a western choir performance by Misha, Jetsun, Garima, Lavika, Disha, Katyayani and Shreeyati, accompanied by the instrumentalists Parisa and Adhiraj. The self-composed poems were delivered by Paridhi and Shivanshi. The assembly concluded with a dance by Aakrisht, Soham, Siddhesh, Abhinav, Aadya, Archisa, Shreeyati and Manya.
The assembly ended gracefully with the thought that true peace is not merely the absence of violence, but the courage to stand up against what is wrong. A vote of thanks was delivered by Jai. The comperes for the assembly were Suryansh, Ansh, Jai, Eklavya, Aariv and Aayansh. The script was prepared by Eklavya and Aayansh; folders and invites by Jetsun, Jia and Katyayani; digital invite by Sanibh, Aadvik and Satej; and the display board by Jayssh, Parth, Mahek and Megha. The background presentation was made by Shanvik, Sudhanva, Sanibh, Satej, Aadvik, Aniket A. and Eklavya.
