“Peace Begins Where Ego Ends” – Edward Young
With this inspiration, an assembly was presented on 14th May, 2026, on the theme “Peace Begins Where Ego Ends” by the students of classes X K and X L. The assembly aimed to foster inner peace, compassion, empathy, unity and harmony, encouraging students to become responsible global citizens who can contribute towards creating a better society in future.
Hursh Bajaj, Aarikaa Sankhla (X K), along with Aaditya Raj Gogia and Aanya Anand (X L), skillfully anchored the event seamlessly through the proceedings. The assembly commenced with a soul-stirring prayer sung by Kanish Gupta, Lakshya Kaul, Krishnav Bindal, Shaurya Bhatt, Arnav Raheja, Krishnav Singh, Myra Gupta, Aaradhya Malik, Aarek Arora (X K), and Radha Chaudhary, Dia Mittal, Mishka Aggarwal, Kiara Chowdhary, Yati Sharma, Veda Chawla, Prithvi Madan, Adi Mittal, Ainesh Kumar, Aariv Chauhan, Shauryvir Singh Alag, Agasthya Suri, Akshaj Katiyar, Daksh Rathore, Rudraksh Malik, Siddharth Sharma, Viraj Misra (X L), invoking positivity and serenity.
This was followed by a graceful Lakshmi Vandana as a classical dance performance by Anya Garg and Jivisha Jain (X L), symbolising harmony and spiritual peace. The script for the assembly was thoughtfully prepared by Lakshya Kaul, Dhriti Mehta and Apeksha Gupta (X K).
The importance of peace, mutual understanding, and kindness in today’s world was effectively portrayed through a meaningful skit performed by Aditi Bishnoi Mohindru, Veeraj Ghambhir, Meha Singh, Dhriti Mehta, Ayansh Srivastav, Kanav Manocha (X K), Aarjav Jain, Hardik Vohra, Veda Chawla, Kiara Nagpal, Kiara Bhandari, Adya Malhotra, Myrah Saini, Rishi Sabharwal (X L). The narrators who sailed the skit ahead smoothly were Aadya Sharma, Ehimay Shankar, Shaurya Uppal, Myra Gupta, Diyati Aggarwal (X K) and Aarjav Jain (X L). Current affairs were eloquently presented by Harsh Kirtani, Shaurya Bhatt (X K) and Rishi Sabharwal, Yati Sharma (X L), followed by thought for the day in multiple languages: Kamakshi Jaiswal in French, Hemang Chaturvedi in Hindi (X L), Samaira Chauhan in English, and Riddhika Thakur in Spanish (X K). A Raag invoking the ideas of peace and unity was sung melodiously by Veda Chawla (X L) and Lakshay Kaul (X K) to the beat of the tabla played by Hemang Chaturvedi (X L). A harmonious song reflecting the essence of peace and togetherness was performed by Arshi Jain, Vidaan Kalra, Veeraj Ghambhir, Aaradhya Malik, Inaya Ali Jan, Aadya Sharma, Aditi Bishnoi Mohindru, Meha Singh, Shrishti, Riddhika Thakur (X K), along with Veda Chawla, Anika Luthra, Anshika, Kiara Nagpal, Kiara Chowdhary, Mishka Aggarwal, Kiara Bhandari, Ishita Verma, Aanya Anand, Shauryvir Singh Alag and Adya Malhotra, Myrah Saini (X L). The musical accompaniment for the prayer and song was provided by Ehimay Shankar, Aarav Gupta, Arnav Agarwal, Ranveer Abbott (X K), and Hemang Chaturvedi (X L).
Apeksha Gupta, Ayansh Srivastav and Aanya Chandra (X K) and Dia Mittal, Ishita Verma and Radha Chaudhary (X L) gave direction to the skit through their moving speech. Arshi Jain and Shrishti (X K) expressed these values by reciting an illuminating poem composed by Arshi Jain (X K). The assembly concluded with an enchanting dance performance by Reet, Kianna Grover, Shanaya Gupta, Anya Garg, Jivisha Jain, Lakshiv Jhorar, Viraaj Verma (X L), and Adith Bharihoke (X K), who gracefully portrayed the message of unity in diversity and left the audience captivated.
Finally, the artistic contributions of students were highlighted by Apeksha Gupta, Arshi Jain, Meha Singh, Gaurika Sharma, Aanya Chandra, and Aditi Bishnoi Mohindru (X K) designed the beautiful invitations and folders; Yati Sharma and Dia Mittal (X L) set up the display board; Aaditya Raj Gogia (X L) created the E-invite; and Arnav Agarwal and Krishnav Bindal (X K) prepared the colourful presentation to complement the performances. The assembly was a heartfelt celebration of harmony, compassion, unity and most of all inner peace, leaving the audience inspired to embrace these values in their thoughts, words, and actions.
