TOPIC: “IF DPS WALLS COULD TALK: DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE SCHOOL ‘SPEAK’ ABOUT THEIR HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE”
The students of Classes VIII-E and VIII-F presented a thought-provoking and beautifully curated assembly on the theme “If the Walls of DPS R.K. Puram Could Talk.” The assembly highlighted the glorious legacy of the school, the values it upholds, and the memories etched within its walls over decades.The programme beautifully highlighted the school’s legacy through prayer, music, dance, and dramatization. The proceedings began with a warm and graceful welcome by the poised comperes Aarna,Simona, Krish and Akanksha.
The assembly began with the soulful Morning Prayer – “Hey Ram, Hey Ram,” sung by Aarav, Abeer, Ahana, Dakshil, Maadhav, Mishika, Manya, Manikarnika, Prasoon, Aadhyant, Shivaansh M., Sidhaant, Viraj, Harshit G., Harshit A., Hunar, Shanaya A., Shiv, Arunoday, Jaskabir, Reyansh, Palaksha, Simrat, Pari. This was followed by an elegant Dance Performance – “Adi Lakshmi Vandana,” presented by Trisha, Divyanshi, Ameya, Tamanna, Pari, Aarna, Sravya, Aashi, Navya.
The highlight of the assembly was a well-crafted skit titled “Celebrating the Legacy of our School.” Students creatively personified the walls of DPS R.K. Puram, narrating stories of its journey, achievements, principals, alumni, and the countless learners who have walked through its corridors.Skit was performed by Shivansh M., Aryav, Vishruta, Krish, Piyush, Siddh, Aadvik, Ahana, Akanksha, Avidaan, Abraham, Yuvraj, Nivaan, Samaira, Naira, Aryaman, Arnav, Myra, Shanaya C.
Next, the Western Choir & Orchestra presented an uplifting rendition of “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus.It was performed by Rishit, Advay, Vaibhav, Siddh, Shivaansh S., Sidhaant, Prasoon, Hunar, Khanak, Samaira, Shanaya A., Rishi, Simrat, Shanzay, Juyoung, Agastya, Nivaan, Shoaib, Abraham .
Following this, the Vote of Thanks was delivered, acknowledging the efforts of teachers, participants, and support teams who contributed to making the assembly a success. The visual and creative elements of the assembly were supported by the Art & digital Teams: Anaika, Azeez, Ameya, Inaya, Hanna, Akanksha, Divyanshi, Vishruta, Naira, Shristi, Aadvik, Shivansh M., Siddh, Tamanna, Shanaya C., Myra, Alvira, Nivaan, Shanaya A., Simrat, Aashi, Hunar, Shanzay, Aarav, Abraham.
The script of the assembly was written by Avidaan Gupta. The assembly concluded with the melodious School Anthem followed by the National Anthem. Overall, the assembly was well-executed, expressive, and a heartfelt tribute to the enduring spirit and heritage of DPS R.K. Puram.
