Topic : International Girl Child Day ‘Ladli’
As rightly remarked by William Shakespeare – “Though She Be but Little She Is Fierce.”
The class presentation of 8C commenced with an enlightening hymn as a thought for the day by Vaishnavi Sajwan, proclaiming the blessings a girl child brings to her parents. Introduced by Nikhil Mehra, a melodious morning prayer ‘Vaishnav Janto…’ Gandhi Ji’s favourite bhajan, was sung by Anika Goel. The prayer was followed by a powerful speech by Sanyam Jha and a patriotic song ‘Kadak Kadam’ by Aditi Raj, paying a tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter. To continue, an impactful speech was given by Anya Chaudhary about the importance of a girl child, ‘Girl Child, A blessing On Earth’. Introduced by Sanyam Jha, a heart-touching Hindi poem was recited by Tapasya Singh. The assembly was brought to an end with an emotional song sung by Anika Goel expressing the need for equality between the two genders in our society. To conclude, a vote of thanks was given by Anika Goel. The compilation of the assembly audio, the invitation and making of the powerpoint presentation was done by Sanyam Jha, Anika Goel and Shesh Shiromani.
