TOPIC: “THE PARAMPARA OF STORYTELLING: PASSING WISDOM THROUGH GENERATIONS, LESSONS FROM THE PAST”
“Passing Wisdom: From Voice to Verse”
“Words once spoken become lessons remembered; words once written become lessons preserved.”
Keeping this message in mind, the Class Assembly of Class VII-G and VII-H started with a heartfelt prayer song by Avni, Shivaksh, Sachin, Harshit, Naitik, Vihaan, Tarun, Ryan, Umair, Yashvendra, Aarav, Fasi, Savir, Sushant, Harshita, Gurbani, Drishya Azad, Mumtaj, Kabir Bidhuri and Md. Irfan Firdousi. Then the Headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal welcomed everyone and led them through the morning prayer.
This was followed by Ganesh Vandana gracefully performed by Baani Khurana, Ananshi Birla, Vaanya Jindal, Adwitiya Basu, Shreya Devi, Prisha Bhandari, Lekhika, Samaira, Saisha and Iliyana Mathew. This was followed by a compelling skit to showcase how passing wisdom started with words in the form of stories, poems and songs and later changed to passing wisdom through written scripts. The skit was performed by Samaira Duggal (as Dadi) Madhav Anand, Gayatri Sharma, Shauryavardhan Singh, Kabir Shewaramani, Aisha Dudi, Hershaanya and Anika (as children), Kabir Sethi (as villager), Kimaya (as teacher), Anaida Rai, Kushagra Tokas, Shanaya Nargotra and Yelena (as students), Nysa Malhotra, Abeer Bhatia and Sreshtha Dasgupta, Anaira Kher, Ameya and Sanaya Valecha (as narrators). The Thought for the Day was given in four different languages by Shanaya Nargotra (Spanish), Nishit (French), Ishanvi (Hindi) and Daksh Jaglaan (English). The news headlines for the day were read by Keyaan Kochhar, Kiyan Gupta, Shivam Kathuria and Alaina Siwach.
Thereafter, two beautiful self-composed poems were recited by Shauryavardhan Singh and Aisha Dudi which beautifully resonated with the assembly’s theme. Followed by this, the western choir sang a wonderful song sung by Vagisha Sinha, Akshaj Choudhary, Viyansh Kakkar, Rishika, Avya Mehra, Harsh S. Uppal, Sreshtha Dasgupta, Abeer Bhatia, Nysa Malhotra, Nijansh Sharma (guitar), Siddharth Parwal (guitar), Kabir Sethi (Keyboard) and Aradhya Vij (Keyboard), adding a melodious touch to the assembly.
The comperes of the programme were Viyansh Kakkar, Sreshtha Dasgupta, Daksh Jaglaan, Atharv Garg, Anaira Kher and Sanaya Valecha. The folders, handmade invite and the board for the assembly were made by Manel Shankar, Shivaksh, Daksh Jaglaan, Shivam Kathuria, Ananshi Birla, Nijansh Sharma, Nysa Malhotra, Md. Irfan Firdousi, Baani Khurana and Kabir Shewaramani.
