TOPIC: “SANSKRITIK PARAMPARA: HONOURING OUR RICH CULTURAL HERITAGE BY EMBRACING THE TRADITIONAL ARTS AND PRACTICES THAT SHAPE OUR IDENTITY”
On Thursday, the 7th of August 2025, the students of classes VI-D and VI-K presented a captivating assembly on the topic “SERVICE BEFORE SELF”, showcasing the importance of our school’s motto.
The assembly commenced with a soulful morning prayer led by Aanvi Ghai, Sharanya Gopal, Anmol Kumar Shukla, Samir Bera, Ananya Singh, Shubhadra Rani Roy, Vivan Singhania, Vansh Sehrawat, Jivesh Adlakha, Shhrey Gaur, Maanvi, Riddhima Chaturvedi, Viren Jain, Rohan, Siyona Aggarwal, Shaambhavi Sunha, Shaurya Gupta, Nevaan Sachdeva, Anuraj Kujur, Aryan Pratap Singh, Ayaan Chawla, Havish Duseja, Iraaj Kumar, Karanbir Singh Manocha, Mehransh Vij, Navya Chauhan, Niharika, Rehaan, Shraddha, Srihan Saha, Vinayak, Gunnaar Agnihotri, Nysa Mehta and Aarav Marwaah.
Then the Headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal welcomed everyone and led them through the morning prayer. This was followed by the skit explaining the true meaning of Service Before Self. Within the skit, Thought for the day in different languages was shared by Mishika Mahajan, Shreya Mishra, Anvi Sharma and Anushka Sud along with the news was given by Adtri Singh, Bhavya, Nalin Bansal and Aadhya Girdhar to keep us updated. Along with this a highly energetic dance performance showing two different classical dance forms of India was done by Aranayee Sharma, Vishalakshi Awasthi- Bharatnatyam; Kavyanjali Tokas, Aaratrika Gulati, Ashmita Dubey and Saanvi Soni- Kathak. The skit was concluded with the message of helping others without expecting anything in return by Navya Chadha, Vaarya Ahuja, Masharib Hussain Qureshi, Rishabh H Jaiswal, Aadhya Narsinghani, Nevaan Sachdeva, Prisha Gandhi, Ashmit, Hardik Mishra, Aatyusha, Keshav Karthikeya Valluri. To understand the topic a little better, a soulful melody “We can Help” was sung by Shaurya Gupta, Deetya Kaushik, Siyona Aggarwal, Taisha Arora, Hiya Datta, Aaradhya Singla, Nevaan Sachdeva, Anvi Sharma, Amaira Kapoor, Kabir Chopra, Akash Khanda, Arihant Jain, Kashvi Arora, Shanaya Gulati, Sifat Ahuja, Vivaan Jain and Aarav.
The comperes for the assembly were Sidharth, Ashat Gupta, Shivang Saxena, Paavni Chotrani and Soham Gupta. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Saisha Bakshi. The folders, handmade invite and the board for the assembly were made and designed by Arihant Jain, Ashat Gupta, Deetya Kaushik, Shaambhavi Sinha, Prisha Gandhi and Aarav. The e-invite was designed by Aaradhya Singla. The digital presentation was curated by Ashmit Tanwar and Hiya Datta. The Headmistress emphasised on the topic and its importance in our daily life. The assembly powerfully conveyed that at DPS R.K. Puram, we follow and respect our motto Service Before Self. The assembly concluded with the uplifting school anthem followed by the national anthem.
