Topic: Change begins with us
Leo Tolstoy once said “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself…” It’s imperative that we change our perspective about what needs to be changed around us. We must commit ourselves to the service of others to bring about a visible change in our surroundings. As we proudly proclaim our school motto ‘Service before Self’, we must also try to live up to the same in letter and spirit. After all, change begins with us.
Topic: तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय का सामान्य अर्थ यह है कि अंधकार से प्रकाश की ओर चलो। मानव के लिए भीतर के व्याप्त अंधकार से प्रकाश की ओर चलने का एक संकेत है- तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय।
आसक्ति और मोह का अंधकार, काम, क्रोध, लोभ और अहंकार का अंधकार, ईष्र्या-द्वेष, आत्म प्रवंचना, धन, पद, प्रतिष्ठा के बल पर अहित की भावना के अंधकार से मुक्त होकर प्रकाश का स्वागत करते हुए चलने का ध्येय है- तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय।
जब अज्ञान के अंधकार से मानव पार होता है तब शांति और संतोष की अनुभूति होती है। तत्पश्चात आत्मा आनंद विभोर होकर नृत्य करने लगती है। आनंद से परमानंद की ओर बढ़ता है। अंततोगत्वा ब्रांह्मानंद का पड़ाव स्वत: मिल जाता है। यही है वास्तविक तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय।
