TOPIC: “IF YOU LIGHT A LAMP FOR SOMEONE ELSE, IT WILL ALSO BRIGHTEN YOUR PATH.”
On the 11th of December, 2024, the students of Class XI-I and XI-J united to present a truly remarkable and soul-stirring assembly centered around the theme, “Kindness: If You Light a Lamp for Someone Else, It Will Also Brighten Your Path.” This theme, imbued with the essence of selflessness, generosity, and the transformative power of compassion, set the stage for an experience that was as profound as it was inspiring.
The assembly commenced with a deeply moving rendition of the prayer “Na Kho Vishwas”, sung by a talented group of students: Akshara Pandey, Arunima Bhaskar, Shiven Wason, Shubh Tandon, Nidish Mehta, Aarav Ahuja, Shayaan Faiz, Ayaan Manchanda, Shivam Tripathi, Aniruddh Goyal, Ashvik Agarwal, Shivein Jain, Bhavmanyu Tokas, Vaibhav Joshi, Purvi Rawal and Karan Chadha.
Following the prayer, the stage was illuminated by a mesmerizing Shlok, masterfully recited by Akshara Pandey, and a graceful Ganesh Vandana performed by a troupe of skilled dancers: Sinjini Paul and Nimisha Dutta. Their synchronized movements, accompanied by enchanting music, paid homage to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, while symbolizing the spiritual foundation upon which acts of kindness are built.
The spirit of the assembly continued to blossom as Chaitanya Mishra eloquently shared the Thought for the Day. His words encapsulated the profound power of kindness, illustrating how even the smallest acts of compassion can create ripples of positivity and foster a more harmonious world.
The assembly also featured a captivating global update, presented by Tripti Singh, Divyansh Taneja, Aayush Gaur and Ridhima Rawat. With poise and clarity, they highlighted the latest world events, underscoring the interconnectedness of humanity and the immense role that kindness plays in shaping a better future for all.
A skit, performed by Pratha Gandhi, Saket Agarwal, Risa Kumar, Abhinav Verma, Chaitanya Mishra, Akshara Pandey, Ali, Shiven Wason, Harjas Kaur, Mehr Chadha, Pranjal Praveen, Tanmay Gupta, Humaam Ahmed, Aryaman Aggarwal, Atharv Agarwal, Adwik Chadha, Suhaan Oberoi and Shivein Jain then took center stage. This dramatic performance, brimming with humor and emotion, powerfully conveyed the message that living a life of kindness not only brightens the lives of others but enriches one’s own life as well. The skit was complemented by musical performances by Aarav Ahuja, Aditya Vikas Sharma, Chinmay, Aditya Mathur, Angel Goel, Shriyan Khemka, Ashutosh Rewaria, Suhaan Oberoi, Atharwa Navyam, Arnav Gujral and an inspiring, self-composed poem was presented by Saket Agarwal and Kaavya Sharma. The western choir, led by Akshara Pandey, Aradhya Agrawal, Tanya Dhaka, Prakriti Gaha, Nimisha Dutta, Aadhya Ivaturi, Anahita Misra, Arnav Singh, Shresthi Srivastava and Sinjini Paul, added a harmonious touch to this unforgettable presentation. The skit culminated in a stirring speech by Pranjal Praveen, Humaam Ahmed and Aadhya Ivaturi, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of purpose and a compelling call to embrace kindness in every facet of life.
The grand finale, a high-energy hip-hop dance performance, electrified the atmosphere. Choreographed and performed by Akshita Mishra, Arunima Bhaskar, Prakriti Gaha, Shiven Wason, Saket Agarwal, Shayaan Faiz, Udeti Arora, Ali, Risa Kumar, Pratha Gandhi, Kaavya Sharma and Anupam Suresh.
A special mention must be made of the outstanding artistic contributions that elevated the visual appeal of the assembly. The Board artwork, invitation cards, e-invite, folders, and presentations were thoughtfully designed by SK Mohammad Harris, Shriyan Khemka, Abheek Anand, Vehuto Theyo, Shubh Tandon, Aradhya Agrawal, Prakriti Gaha, Udeti Arora, Atish Nandan, Aadhya Ivaturi, Vivek Agarwal, Tanmay Gupta, Nabhay Khanna, Vaibhav Joshi, Raghav Singh, Suhaan Oberoi, with each detail adding to the overall grandeur of the event.
The assembly was expertly compered by Harjas Kaur, Mehr Chadha, Pranjal Praveen and Ranvir Vig, whose wit, grace, and seamless transitions ensured the event proceeded smoothly and effortlessly from one segment to the next. The assembly was a celebration of kindness, a reminder that in lighting a lamp for others, we too are illuminated.
