AN EDUCATIONAL TOUR OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM

The History Department of the school organized an educational tour to the National Museum for Class VI students from 15 November to 23 November 2022. The excursion to the museum was quite fascinating and enriching for the students as they went on a field trip with their friends for the first time after the pandemic. With the permission and guidance of Principal, Ms. Padma Srinivasan, it was facilitated by the Headmistress of Classes VI-VIII, Ms. Vinita Gupta, and Coordinator Ms. Shaloo Khanna.

The students were taken on a tour of various galleries such as the gallery of Harappan Civilization, the Early Medieval Art, the Late Medieval Art, and others showcasing Indian miniature paintings, sculptures, coins and statues of Buddha. Students showed keen interest in learning about ancient tools and weapons. They were fascinated by the ancient artifacts on display and the unique glimpse offered by all the objects and paintings, into the culture and heritage of India. The museum has undergone tremendous refurbishment in the last few years. It was a fun-filled experience for the students.
