Delhi Public School R.K. Puram observed Teachers’ Day on September 3, 2026. The programme was organised to honour and thank the teaching staff for their continuous guidance, hard work and support of the students. The programme was attended by the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, along with the Vice Principals: Mr Naresh Miglani, Mr Anil Kathuria, Mr Mukesh Kumar and Ms Rashmi Malhotra; Headmistresses: Dr Anubha Gopal (Classes IX-X), Ms Vandana Chandhoke (Classes VI-VIII) and Ms Vinita Gupta (Vasant Vihar) , Ms Dimple Menon (EOK) and Academic Head IBDP Mr Ajay Goyal. Ms Vibha Arora of the Physics Department (RK Puram) and Ms Mitali Malhotra of the Mathematics Department (East of Kailash) were felicitated in recognition of their commitment, professionalism and significant contribution to the teaching-learning processes. Their sincere effort and dedication towards the holistic development of students were acknowledged and appreciated.
In his address, the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, wished the teachers on Teachers’ Day and stated that he regards the school’s educators as among the finest in the world. He expressed his sincere appreciation and pride in their ongoing efforts and commitment to the institution.
This was followed by a Hasya Kavi Sammelan organised as a vibrant and entertaining segment of the Teachers’ Day programme. The session featured noted contemporary Hindi poets, namely, Shri Dinesh Raghuvanshi, Shri Vinod Pal, Shri Dilip Sharma, Shri Arun Gemini and Dr Praveen Shukla.
The poets presented humorous and thought-provoking compositions on diverse themes, including human values and the importance of smile and laughter in everyday life.
Through wit, parody and satire, the poets conveyed meaningful messages while keeping the audience thoroughly engaged and entertained and created a lively and cheerful atmosphere. The programme concluded with the Principal extending his compliments to the poets and feliciating them on stage as a mark of respect.
