Earth Day Celebration 2026

The Students of Delhi Public School, RK Puram celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April, 2026 on the theme “Our Power Our Planet” in the Red Granite Area and OAT across a spectrum of activities that focused on raising awareness on environmental consciousness towards our planet.The event was graced by our esteemed principal Mr. Anil Kumar, Vice-Principals Mr. Anil Kumar Kathuria, Mr. Mukesh Kumar,  Headmistress (IX-X) Dr. Aubha Gopal, Incharge (VI-VIII) Ms. Vandana Chandhok and the teachers from different departments. 

The day commenced with a plantation drive that exemplified dedication to environmental consciousness. The entire student fraternity took the pledge to protect the planet. Class VI students showcased models “From Junk – Genius” and prepared earth day badges. Class VII students presented a classical dance on “Panchtatava” showcasing the power of air, water, fire, earth and the sky. Students of class VIII presented a Nukkad Natak on reducing single use plastic. The students of class IX presented an interactive soft board on individual practices that can protect the earth while the students of class X prepared eco-posters and slogans. Class X choir highlighted the need to preserve water and soil for life to flourish. Class XI portrayed the story of the earth while class XII students showcased the theme “Our Power, Our Planet” and took the lead in the plantation drive of endemic medicinal plants.

Ms. Sangita Bajpai, the coordinator of the Department of Geography along with members viz. Ms. Mahima Goel, Ms. Deeksha Gupta, Ms. Swati Uppal, Ms. Surabhi Gaur, Ms. Divya Kumari & Ms. Meera Raghav inspired the students and facilitated  in making the event a great success. This celebration mobilized the school community towards carrying forward the principle of collective responsibility for a resilient and sustainable future.
