Hostel Farewell Class XII (2025-26)

“It’s sad, but sometimes moving on with the rest of your life, starts with goodbye.” – Carrie Underwood

On the evening of 6 February 2026, the farewell for the outgoing hostel batch was held. It was a memorable event filled with emotions, memories, and friendship. The evening was attended by the distinguished Vice Principals: Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Mr. Naresh Miglani and Ms. Rashmi Malhotra, the Headmistress Dr. Anubha Gopal.

The programme commenced with a devotional  Ganesh Vandana, invoking blessings for the seniors’ upcoming journey. The evening then progressed into a lively array of performances presented by both the Boys’ Hostel and the Girls’ Hostel. The Indian choir and the Western choir sang beautifully, touching everyone’s hearts and stirring feelings of nostalgia and excitement with their voices. The semi-classical dance and the Western dance were full of energy, lighting up the stage with dynamic movements.

The Vice Principal, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, addressed the audience, praising the participants for their outstanding performances. He encouraged the seniors, emphasising that the friendships formed in the hostels over the past two years are strong and will be cherished by all of them. He also noted that the hostel residents are fortunate to have met people from diverse backgrounds in one place, which they came to call home, becoming a source of strength for one another. His speech was soon followed by an award ceremony honouring the winners and runners-up of the boys’ hostel football tournament.

At the conclusion, the hostel Headgirl, Shivangi Chakravarty, and Headboy, Manas Kala, delivered an emotional speech, reflecting on their hostel journey and expressing their gratitude to the teachers, wardens, and everyone who made their hostel experience memorable.

The event ended with a video presentation showcasing past moments filled with both emotion and humour, followed by the distribution of mementoes to the seniors. As the seniors prepared to begin new chapters in their lives, the farewell reminded everyone that the friendships formed within the hostel walls would remain forever in their hearts.
