“The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.” – Charles Dickens.
On 5 February 2026, a special moment unfolded at DPS R.K. Puram as the Principal Mr Anil Kumar, the Vice Principals: Mr Mukesh Kumar, Mr Naresh Milani, Mr Anil Kathuria and Ms Rashmi Malhotra, the Headmistress Ms Anubha Gupta, Academic Head IBDP Mr Ajay Goyal and the students of class XI gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to the graduating class of 2025, celebrating their journey and wishing them success as they move forward into the future. The event venue was adorned with colourful balloons, banners, and festoons, creating a lively, festive atmosphere.
The ceremony began with the Western Choir performing a mellifluous medley of songs that symbolised the transition from school life to new beginnings. The Indian Choir, thereafter, presented a nostalgic musical rendition, echoing memories of childhood, followed by a mesmerising dance performance.
During the event, a heartfelt speech was given by one of the class XII students, where she reminisced about the first steps into the school and the journey that transformed classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds into a second home. She conveyed to her friends that they would all be linked by the memories they had made over the years. She also extended a warm gratitude to the teachers for being a guiding light for their journey in school.
The Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, expressed his satisfaction and happiness in noting that the students had come to the culmination of their 14 year school journey. He expressed his hope and expectations from the students and wished them success in achieving their goals and aspirations in the journey ahead. He expressed his deep conviction that the students would eventually realise, some months or years down the line, the deep significance of being a DPS R.K. Puram alumnus and a Dipsite.
The events concluded with not just hearts full of memories, nostalgia, or farewells, but with a new found dedication and promise to a new beginning.
