“Knowledge is experience, everything else is just information” – Albert Einstein
The Science Department organised an educational excursion to the National Science Centre, New Delhi, for the students of Class IX in December 2025. Organised with the guidance and support of the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar and the Vice Principal, Ms Rashmi Malhotra, the visit was planned as a part of the school’s commitment to strengthening experiential learning and to provide students with a platform to observe, explore and engage with scientific concepts beyond the classroom.
During the excursion, students had the opportunity to watch an immersive 3D Jungle Safari film, which offered a vivid and realistic visual experience. The screening enabled them to appreciate the diversity of wildlife, understand ecological relationships and develop a deeper awareness of nature conservation.
The learners also toured several interactive galleries that showcased exhibits on human biology, physics, technology, earth sciences and India’s scientific heritage. These exhibits, designed to encourage curiosity and hands-on learning, allowed students to visualise scientific principles through models, simulations and real-life demonstrations.
As one of India’s premier science museums operating under the National Council of Science Museums, the National Science Centre is renowned for its learner-friendly environment, live demonstrations and engaging educational installations. The visit enabled students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, strengthened their observational and analytical skills, and nurtured a spirit of scientific inquiry.
The excursion was an enriching academic experience, inspiring students to view science as a dynamic and interconnected field of study.
