Teachers’ Day 2025

“Teachers are the compass that awakens the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom within their students.”

Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4th September 2025 with a special programme organised by the hostel students in the Audio Visual Hall. Beginning at 8 a.m., the event was a heartfelt tribute to the teachers for their unwavering guidance, dedication, and inspiration. The hall, adorned with decorations symbolising gratitude and respect, radiated joy and enthusiasm.

The celebration was graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar, the Vice-Principals, Mr. Naresh Miglani, Mr. Anil Kathuria, and Mr. Mukesh Kumar, along with the Headmistresses, Ms. Rashmi Malhotra and Dr. Anubha Gopal and the teachers.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by vibrant cultural performances. The Western Choir opened the morning with melodious renditions that set an uplifting tone. A skit by the Boys’ Hostel offered a humorous glimpse into everyday classroom moments—particularly the reactions of students upon receiving Monday test papers—which had the audience in fits of laughter and waves of nostalgia.

The Indian Choir, a combined effort of the Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels, touched hearts with a soulful Medley of songs such as Baghban, Tujhme Rab Dikhta Hai, Kaisi Paheli Hai Zindagani, and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai. The Girls’ Hostel added charm with a skit affectionately enacting teachers’ mannerisms, followed by a graceful dance to Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra, which beautifully mirrored the elegance of the teachers.

The cultural segment concluded with a heartfelt poetry recitation titled Our Teachers, the 8th Wonder. Reflecting on hostel life, the poem acknowledged how teachers serve as a bridge between students’ past experiences and their present journey. A poignant line left a lasting impact: “आपने एक बार भी कभी भी एक थैंक्यू तक नहीं माँगा,” a reminder of teachers’ selfless devotion.

The Principal, in his address, appreciated both the teachers and the hostel students for making the day memorable. The event left many teachers teary-eyed, while others smiled with joy, a testament to the deep bond between mentors and learners. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking a dignified end to a celebration filled with warmth, gratitude, and reverence.
