TOPIC: “IF DPS WALLS COULD TALK: DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE SCHOOL ‘SPEAK’ ABOUT THEIR HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE”
The morning assembly of DPS R.K. Puram was conducted by classes VIIIJ and VIII I on 19th August 2025. The theme of the assembly was “If DPS Walls Could Talk.” The programme began with a soulful morning prayer presented by **Aryan, Amrit, Devansh, Devarsh, Gaurish, Himanshi, Kabir, Prakriti, Prashant, Rajveer, Shaurya, Zuhair of VIII I and Vedant, Kiyah, Adyansh, Daksh, Aarna, Yuvraj, Kartik, Sneha, Jiya of VIII J. Their melodious voices created a serene and devotional atmosphere to start the day.
The skit was the highlight of the programme, performed by Advik, Ashita, Kaira, Kanishk, Pragyaan, Saksham, Samar of 8I and Sara, Inaya, and Akshat of VIII J. It depicted two foreign exchange students experiencing a day at DPS R.K. Puram. Through their eyes, the audience witnessed how discipline, academics, co-curricular activities, and values go hand in hand to nurture leaders of tomorrow.
The News Headlines followed, with Manvir from 8I and Shaurya, Devansh, and Shiven from VIIIJ delivering updates from the national, international, and sports arenas, along with the weather forecast. The Thought for the Day was shared by Tavish and Saksham of VIIII, and Jiya and Siddharth of VIII J, encouraging everyone to adopt positivity and perseverance. A reflective poem was recited by Advik (VIII I) and Kiyah (VIII J), adding literary depth to the programme. The cultural segment began with a motivational choir and orchestra performance by Ahana (Guitar), Gurveer, Kaira, Prashant, Raadhika, Ryaan, Siyona, Urvika, Shaurya, Devansh, Vedant, Shrey, Kiyah, Kiera, Kiara, Shiven, Aarna, Anouk, Aarja, Daksh, Shanaya, Harsh, Dhruv, Yuvraj, Siddharth, Jiya. Their music echoed through the hall, inspiring the entire gathering. This was followed by graceful dance performances presented by Aanchal, Akshita, Anika, Aradhya, Mahi and Taniya on a motivational theme, which left the audience spellbound.
