TOPIC: “THE PARAMPARA OF STORYTELLING: PASSING WISDOM THROUGH GENERATIONS, LESSONS FROM THE PAST”
FROM ORAL TALES TO DIGITAL SCREENS
On Wednesday, the 3rd of September 2025, the students of class VII-K presented a captivating assembly on the topic “THE PARAMPARA OF STORYTELLING”, showcasing the importance of our story telling in present day and age. The assembly commenced with a soulful morning prayer led by Aradhye, Ananye, Anmol, Rahul, Agastya, Arav, Samarth, Kartik, Anaya and Mahira. Then the Headmistress, Dr. Anubha Gopal welcomed everyone and led them through the morning prayer.
This was followed by the skit explaining the true meaning of Storytelling and its relevance since the olden times. Within the skit, Thought for the day in different languages was shared by Advik and Arshika along with the news which was given by Aksh, Arnav, Asad and Advay to keep us updated. Along with this a highly energetic and graceful classical dance was performed by Mahira, Anaya, Briti, Umika, Rishima and Nishka. The skit was concluded with the message of the wisdom the stories carry with us and how each story teaches us something new by Kriyansh, Umika, Vivansh, Briti, Mahira and Anaya. To understand the topic a little better, a soulful melody “Send it On” was sung by Jay, Pranay, Abir, Asad, Divya, Devshree, Rithvi, Ishaanvi, Aamna, Rishima and Divyanshi.
The comperes for the assembly were Reyansh and Jiya. The Vote of thanks was proposed by both of them. The folders, handmade invite and the board for the assembly were made and designed by Anaya, Reyansh, Jiya, Pranay, Vivansh, Anaya, Mahira and Avni. The e-invite was designed by Anureet. The digital presentation was curated by Reyansh and Devavrat.The assembly powerfully conveyed that at DPS R.K. Puram, we grow and find meaning through powerful stories.The assembly concluded with the uplifting school anthem followed by the national anthem.
