By means of the discussions, life analogies, and interactive tasks, students were taught all the crucial subjects, including strong password habits, phishing scam identification, personal information security, the management of a digital footprint, and cyberbullying. Internet safety, awareness of social media, potential dangers of online games, safe apps and devices were also discussed during the workshop.
The level of interaction promoted participation of the students therefore the session was both informative and entertaining. At the conclusion of the workshop, students have understood the steps they could use to defend themselves against online threats and have shown a better understanding of the concept of a responsible digital life.
This hands-on workshop supported the long term campaign that CyberX Club conducted throughout the year to influence students around campus in becoming computer aware and responsible.
This innovative initiative not only enhanced students’ awareness of digital threats but also built a spirit of collaboration, confidence, and peer-to-peer learning. The workshop was well-received and marked an important step in fostering responsible digital citizenship in the school community.
