Class VII Scholar Badge Ceremony 2024-2025

Delhi Public School R.K. Puram hosted the much awaited Class VII Scholar Badge Ceremony 2023-24 on 29 January 2025, in the Audio-Visual Hall (AVH) from 8 am onwards, to celebrate the academic and co-curricular achievements of the students.

The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Anshul Gupta, Director (RMD), The Times of India; the Presiding Patron of the Ceremony, Mr. Sanjiv Kaura, President,Times Foundation; Ms. Deepti Mehra, Vice President, Times of India, along with the Principal Mr Anil Kumar; the Vice Principals: Mr. Naresh Miglani, Mr. Anil Kathuria, Mr. Mukesh Kumar and the Headmistresses: Ms. Rashmi Malhotra and Dr. Anubha Gopal.

The programme commenced with a musical extravaganza where a melody was presented by the Indian Instrumental Society. 

The Principal, Mr. Anil Kumar in his address welcomed the honoured guests as well as the proud parents of the students receiving the awards and thanked them for gracing the occasion. He emphasized on the importance of being true to the motto of DPS RKP, ‘Service before Self’ as well as recognizing the perseverance and hard work of the students, in achieving the scholar badge.

The address was followed by a soulful rendition of a song by the class VII students, weaving a tapestry of harmony and traditions. 

A movie, highlighting the school’s achievements, events organised, and the accolades received by the students, international admissions and class assemblies was presented. 

A  mesmerizing  dance was performed by students. The rhythmic beats of music blended perfectly with the synchronized steps and the colourful costumes transported the audience to Gujrat, reminding us of our cultural roots and their timeless beauty.

The much awaited scholar badge ceremony followed next. Students were awarded Gold medals, Blue and Green badges, and certificates as a token of appreciation for their hard work over the past year. In total, 179 Green Badges (2nd), 45 Green Badges (1st), 9 Red Badges, and 9 Gold medals for 100% attendance were awarded.

Dr. Anubha Goyal, the Head Mistress, proposed the vote of thanks. She expressed her gratitude towards the guests for taking out time to grace the occasion. She also thanked the Principal, Mr Anil Kumar, for providing a platform to students to showcase their talent and for acknowledging their accomplishments at such a formal ceremony. She also expressed her gratitude towards the Vice Principals: Mr Naresh Miglani,Mr Anil Kathuria and Mr  Mukesh Kumar for their guidance and support. She acknowledged the efforts of the teachers and students who played their part perfectly in successfully organising the ceremony.

The programme ended with the National Anthem.
