TOPIC: “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”
“Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.” Driven by the words of Eleanor Roosevelt and upon pure reflective thoughts about the true essence of friendship, class XII-A and XII-B gathered to display the truest sense of friendship in an astonishing blend of elements sourced from the shared past and the current times, in an effort to highlight the positive roles a ‘good friend’ plays in one’s life through their class assembly “Birds of a Feather”.
An impactful morning prayer sung by Priyanshi, Aditya Sinha, Rihan, Gurmanya, Ishita, Dhritiman, Arham, Atulya, Ria, Ramneek, Medha, Samriddhi, Adya, Amey, Aditya Jha, Shubham, Jiah, Siddhi, Rakhee, Ria and Shivey commenced the assembly. The Vice Principal, Mr Naresh Miglani led the gathering through the morning prayer. Post a brief introduction to the topic by Kritika, the Vandana was performed by Kirtika, Shagun and Rakhee as a magnificent forerunner to the assembly. Thought of the day, delivered by Shaurya and Aleeza in Sanskrit and English followed, reiterating the immense role of a true friendship for the optimism of one’s life. To keep the audience aware of current happenings, news headlines were presented by Abhimukhi, Aryan, Aditya Mishra and Aleeza, spanning the sections of national, international, sports and weather.
Areeba, Kirtika, Shagun, Deepti, Zia and Shivey together presented a beautifully self composed poem in form of an enactment, delving into the traditional roots of the cultural past and presenting the perspectives hailed to this day as the ideals of a true friendship. The class choir, including Priyanshi, Areeba, Lucky, Vanshika, Gurmanya, Atulya, Gunika, Ramneek, Adya, Ria, Ishita, Arham, Rihan, Medha, Aditya Sinha, Dhritiman, Abhimukhi, Mihika, Mahi, Aditya Jha, Shubham, Aadya, Arshiya, Vaishnavi, Rakhee, Siddhi, and Priyansh presented a melodious and inspiring blend of symphonies, the instrumentals for which were provided by Samriddhi, Ayaan and Ria. To effectively highlight the encouraging and positive roles true friends unconditionally play in one’s life irrespective of set norms and societal expectations, Ashira, Ishita, Gurmanya, Arham, Rihan, Mihika and Anjoree presented a moving skit, efficiently conveying the message to the audience. The dance was performed by Dhriti, Aashna, Rihan, Medha, Ashira, Aarshia, Geet, Arshiya, Aadya, Anjoree, Mahi and Aditya Jha. The assembly was concluded with a beautiful rendition of harmonies by Priyanshi, Ria, Atulya and Mihika.
The skillful comperes for the assembly were Vanshika, Dhriti, Akshit, Kritika, Anvesha and Ria. The narrations were provided by Priyanshi and Medha. The eloquent script writers for the assembly were Arham, Ishita, Medha, Gurmanya, Priyanshi, Anjoree and Mihika. Soft Board, invitations and folders were skillfully crafted by Lucky, Vanshika, Medha, Gunika, Aashna, Aditya Sinha, Medha, Isabel, Siddhi, Mihika and Ria. E-invitations and digital presentations were creatively put together by Shaurya, Akshit, Basu, Zia and Anvesha.
