Assembly X-I & X-J (06-08-2024)

TOPIC: “EMBRACING DIVERSITY”

On Tuesday, 6th August 2024, classes X-I and X-J came together to present an assembly on ‘Embracing Diversity’. The assembly revolved around how diversity is the very tenet of India with its myriad of cultures, languages and traditions and yet, we are united by our shared history and values, celebrating unity in diversity as the essence of our national identity.   

The assembly began with a heartfelt morning prayer performed by GItanya, Yashika, Proneet, Mannat, Tejaswi, Shaurya V, Arav, Shaurya K, Mahi, Anika, Shashank, Ranvir, Saisha, Shrishtika, Navika, Disha, Shorya, Piyush, Gagan, Kairav, Shweta, Kathith, Divishish and Devanshi that set a serene and uplifting tone for the day. This was followed by a classical dance performance ‘The Guru Vandana’ performed by Kyna and Lassya. Kathith, Rishav, Divyansh, Lassya, Kiara, Ranbir, Manvik, Arivan and Ranbir impart wisdom through the thought for the day in several different languages which was then followed by Abeer, Gaurav, Kavya and Pia sharing the recent headlines. 

The students then presented a skit that followed five tourists and their guides as they navigated the diverse mosaic of India’s culture. The skit was written by Kairav, Krishiv, Shritha, Samriddhi, Ananya, and Aditya D. The tourists were played by Shritha, Tisya, Kairav, Proneet, and Divyansh while the guides were played by Akaansh, Ranbir, and Ananya. The skit also consisted of self-composed poems written by Aairah, Shweta and Namya.

The skit was then followed by he Western choir that consisted of Mannat, Advika, Anika, Arav, Shaurya K, Shaurya V, Navika, Devashish, Rishav, Ranbir, Shivansh, Reyhaan, Shashank, Tejasvi, Kairav, Namya, Mahi, Baksh, Anushka, Rudrani delivering a melodious performance, enchanting the audience with their harmonious rendition of a song. The choir was then followed by a vibrant display of various dance forms. The Bhangra was performed by Aadarsh, Krishiv, Satvik, Vedant, Cheyanika, Abhishri, Akshainie while the Boro dance was showcased by Aadya, Shweta, Devanshi, and Divisha. The Garba was put up by Abhishri, Chayanika, and Akshainie and the Lezium dance was performed by Adarsh, Krishiv, Vedant, and Satvik. 

The assembly ended with the students representing each state. It consisted of Kinjal, Aarush, Naiteek, GItanya, Aansh, Tanmay, Mahi, Arav and Shaurya V. The compère for the whole assembly were Sanjana, Shritha, Devashish, Shaurya V, Krishiv, Ananya, Samriddhi, Aditya D., Aditi, Rudrani, and Tisya.

The cards were crafted by Kinjal and Akshainiae and the board was put together by Anika, Navika, Mahi, Shrishtika, Kiara, and Kinjal. The digital presentation was meticulously made by Rishit, Ritwik, Krishiv, and Tanmay.
