Honourable mention in “The 9th Eco-generation Environmental Essay Competition
Ishitwa, student of class XI-V received an Honourable mention in “The 9th Eco-generation Environmental Essay Competition” organised by Samsung Engineering jointly with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP); inviting young people all over the world to raise awareness on the theme of ‘The fight against illegal trade in wildlife’. Samsung Engineering established Eco-generation in 1996 as one of the largest environmental education programs for children and youth in Korea and all over the world.
Ishitwa is the only Indian female to receive the award out of the global competitors.
Ishitwa has been an academic achiever all through in school and also received 10 CGPA in class X. She is a scholar tie and blazer holder. She has volunteered for various environmental projects with NGOs like “Vatavaran”.
Ishitwa won the first position in Poster making Competition on “Swachh Bharat” held at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University.
Ishitwa is a passionate dancer and has received a letter of recommendation for excellence in dance from the institute, “The Dancworx”. She has also won the 3rd position at “Panchatatva 2015” and is also a member of the Environment Club.
Ishitwa is an avid reader, a cricket enthusiast and has great interest in mathematics and economics. She was also selected as one of the finalists for participating in the 2017 Global Eco-Leaders Camp, which is to be held at Seoul, South Korea.
