Ek Bharat Digital Surakshit Bharat: DPS R.K. Puram Hosts a Three-Day National Cyber Summit

DPS R.K. Puram, under the visionary leadership of the Principal Mr. Anil Kumar, successfully hosted “Ek Bharat Digital Surakshit Bharat”, a Three-Day National Cyber Summit from March 27 to 29, 2026, in virtual mode.

A unique and student-led initiative, the summit was organized by the CyberX Club under the mentorship of Ms. Sarika Kaushal, with collaboration from NETRIX SL, alumni Atharva’s founded cybersecurity venture. The initiative aimed to promote cybersecurity awareness, digital responsibility, and safe online practices among high school students across India, while equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to navigate today’s increasingly interconnected digital world.

Bringing together students, educators, law enforcement officials, cybersecurity experts, and thought leaders from across the country, the summit emerged as a vibrant platform for learning, collaboration, innovation, and national integration.

Day 1: Inaugural Session and National Collaboration

The summit opened on an inspiring note with the gracious presence of Chief Guest Major General G.D. Bakshi, SM, VSM (Retd.) and Guest of Honour Brigadier Manoj Mohan (Retd.) (17 Sikh), whose distinguished military service and strategic insights deeply inspired the participants.

The event commenced with an address by the Principal Mr. Anil Kumar, who welcomed the Chief Guest and emphasized the growing importance of cyber awareness and digital safety in the present-day world. Ms. Sarika Kaushal, Club Incharge of CyberX Club, also welcomed all participants, teachers, and partner organizations, including the Indian Army, I4C, CyberPeace Foundation, Delhi University, NCC, Cyber Security Association of India, and IFSO.

The first day featured enriching expert sessions by eminent professionals from India’s cyber defence and academic ecosystem:

  • Mr. Nishant Kumar, Director, I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs, spoke on emerging cybercrime trends.
  • Ms. Aishwarya Dongre, Deputy Director, I4C, addressed online safety for women and children.
  • Dr. Om Pal from Delhi University & SafeQbit highlighted student-centric cyber risks.
  • Er. Deepanshu Sharma delivered an insightful session on deepfakes and AI-driven cyber threats.

Adding a highly engaging dimension to the day were CyberX student-led demonstrations on ransomware and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence), creatively presented through skits and live demonstrations, showcasing modern cyber threats and effective mitigation strategies.

With participation from schools across 10+ states, and support from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the summit reflected the spirit of true national collaboration.

The day concluded with the formation of inter-state student teams, setting the stage for cross-regional collaboration, innovation, and cyber awareness projects rooted in both cultural diversity and technological solutions.

Day 2: Understanding Modern Threats and Digital Warfare

The second day was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Shri O.P. Singh, IPS (Retd.), former DGP, Uttar Pradesh Police, who was warmly welcomed by Vice Principal Mr. Mukesh Kumar and Ms. Sarika Kaushal.

The day featured highly relevant and thought-provoking sessions:

  • Dr. Deepak Kumar, Senior Cyber Intelligence and Forensic Expert, spoke on “How Artificial Intelligence Helps Protect Us Online”, highlighting the constructive role of AI in strengthening digital security.
  • Dr. Praveen Kumar, Assistant Professor from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, delivered an insightful session on “From OTP Scams to Digital Arrests: Understanding Modern Cyber Frauds”, covering UPI frauds, OTP scams, phishing, identity theft, and online scams.

The sessions offered students a practical understanding of the evolving nature of cyber frauds and digital warfare, and the importance of staying informed and alert in an increasingly technology-driven society.

Day 3: Child Safety, AI Awareness, and National Showcase

The final day of the summit focused on child safety, cybersecurity awareness, and student innovation.

The day began with a session by Ms. Shonal (Vijaya), Anti-Cybercrime Strategist and Women Brand Ambassador for the Cyber Security Association of India (CSAI), who spoke on “Protecting Our Children in the Digital World.”

This was followed by an engaging address by Maj. Vineet, Founder and Global President, CyberPeace Foundation, on “Cybersecurity in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Staying Secure and Aware.”

The final expert session was delivered by Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Delhi Police, currently serving with IFSO, who shared valuable perspectives from the field of cybercrime investigation and law enforcement.

The summit concluded with inter-state team presentations, where students showcased their research papers, presentations, and app development ideas addressing contemporary cyber challenges. These presentations reflected not only strong conceptual understanding, but also teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.

A Step Towards a Safer Digital India

The summit significantly enhanced cybersecurity awareness among students while fostering critical thinking, collaboration, digital responsibility, and 21st-century skills.

“Ek Bharat Digital Surakshit Bharat” stands as a testament to DPS R.K. Puram’s commitment to nurturing future-ready citizens who are not only technologically aware, but also responsible, informed, and empowered to contribute towards building a digitally secure India.
