SANSKRIT  ZONAL TOPPER AWARDS AND INTERNATIONAL RANK HOLDERS (IFSaO 2023-24)

The International Foundation Sanskrit Olympiad organized the 6th International Sanskrit  Olympiad on 10th of December 2023, in which various schools took part at National and International level. Laasya Valluri of class IX-J and Shivin Sareen of class X-J bagged the ZONAL TOPPER AWARD and received the Zonal Topper Trophy, Zonal Topper Medal,Certificate and the Topper Badge.They also bagged the 5th and the 11th International Ranks respectively. 

Jayesh Aggarwal of class X-J bagged the Silver Award and received the Silver Medal,Silver Badge and the Certificate whereas, Advika Aggarwal of class IX-J bagged the Bronze Medal Award and received the Bronze Medal, Bronze Badge and the Certificate.

VISIT TO PRADHANMANTRI SANGRAHALAYA

The students of class X visited the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya 24 April 2024 onwards. The museum displays a combination of colonial and modern-day architecture, with its complex spanning over a large area. 

The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya is a tribute to the prime ministers of India for their contributions to India. The museum displays the timeline of pre and post-colonial Indian history, with presentations enhancing the student’s knowledge. The museum also showcases various artifacts showing India’s culturally rich heritage.

The museum also displays a few of the innumerous gifts received by government officials which were sent by heads of various countries. The students also learnt about the many revolutions that paved the way for India’s  future. 

The exhibitions were extremely helpful for the students to learn about the history of our country through its Prime Ministers. On the whole, the visit was an enriching experience for the students. 

Visit to Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya

The school had organized an educational tour to Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya for Class VIII students from 26th April to10th May 2024. With the permission and guidance of the Principal, Ms. Padma Srinivasan, it was facilitated by the Headmistress, Ms. Anubha Gopal.

The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya is a tribute to every Prime Minister of India since Independence, and a narrative record of how each one has contributed to the development of our nation over the last 75 years.The excursion was quite enriching as the museum tells the story of the legacy of Indian Prime Ministers and the history of collective effort, and powerful evidence of the creative success of India’s democracy. 

The exhibits  were extremely helpful for the students to learn about the history of our country through its Prime Ministers. The entrance was adorned with a 3D printed National Emblem rotating in the air. Adding to the appeal was an artistic mobile installation of multiple kinetic LED lights forming a dynamic pattern of the National Flag representing freedom, progress and growth of the nation. 

Overall the field trip was an enriching experience that left an indelible impression on the minds of the students, inspiring them to dedicate themselves to the mission of taking our country to greater horizons. The guided tour was a great learning experience for the students.

Assembly X-M & X-N

Topic: “A GRATEFUL HEART IS A MAGNET FOR MIRACLES”

The assembly of Class X-M and X-N “A Grateful Heart is the magnet for all miracles” aimed to showcase the invaluable quality of ‘acknowledgement’- to always be appreciative of others and the fact that they make such a beautiful impact, that we can barely remember what life would be without them.

The Assembly began on a positive note with the morning prayer sung by Naysa, Nimrat, Samriddhi, Ayesha, Avika, Baarika, Raghuvir, Aadit, Arhaan, Naitik, Aviraj, Atharv, Ananya, Amitabh, Kabir Mehta, Abhyuday, Adit, Aryaman, Anav,Ali, Naman, Armaan, Oishee, Rithym, Meet, Pavanaj, Zaeem, Naisha. A religious and classical dance on Saraswati Vandana was performed by Tiara, Sannidhi, Tisha and Riddhi. Thought for the day was by Aadhi & Rowan from X-M and Jasmine & Mannat from X-N. News & current affairs was read by Kabir Mehta, Samarth, Rithym and Pavanaj. Self-composed poems were recited by Pratham (written by Tiara) and Sanna conveying the message of gratitude and regard. A chuckling “Mime” (Skit) was performed by Kashvi, Kabir Sahni, Agastya, Reyansh, Aarav, Ahaan, Arshiyaa, Hiba, Rinhula, Saina, Sujal, Vivaan,Manan and Nauman. We then had a powerful & soulful western dance performance by Aarohi, Tiara, Saanvi, Sannidhi, Ishita, Viraj, Tisha, Riddhi, Yog, Myra.

Lastly, the assembly was followed by the Western Choir sung by Naysa, Avika, Samriddhi, Baarika, Dishita, Divyansh, Kabir Mehta, Aadit, Rowan, Yatee, Armaan, Mrinank, Myra, Naitik, Atharv, Neel, Oishee, Pavnaj, Rithym, Manaal and Aarav.

The colorful presentation was created by Shreyan, Adhiraj, Hiba and Pia. The compering was done by Sahir, Uddhav, Tarush, Dishita, Ahaana, Divyansh, Arhaan, Aarav, Atharv, Manaal and Mrinank. The beautiful soft board, bookmarks and the cards were done by the art team comprising of Ayesha,Reyansh, Arshiyaa, Hiba, Oishee, Zaeem and Pia.

Assembly XII-T & XII-U

Topic: “COMING TOGETHER IS A BEGINNING, KEEPING TOGETHER IS PROGRESS, WORKING TOGETHER IS SUCCESS”

“Consistency paves the path, and hope lights the way; together, they lead us to our dreams.”

On Wednesday, the 24th of April 2024, the students of classes XII-T and XII-U presented their class assembly which highlighted the importance of working together.

The assembly commenced with a melodious prayer “Teri panaah mein” sung by Sampurna Sen, Anamika, Pranshu Ladha, Rudraansh Deb, Rashi, Shivani, Heeba, RitthushnaShefali, Priyanka Lata, Dishita, Debhanjana, Anita Jaiswal. This was followed by a Shiv Vandana performed by Shombita Bandyopadhyay, Aarushi Bhatia, Isha Kaicker, Manini, Tia Dutta, Sonali Sinha, Mitisha, Dhani Lata.

Shloka recitation and its translation was done by Anamika, Priyasha Kaushik and Debhanjana. Thought for the day was presented by Diya, Lita M. Noklang, Retish and Riyank followed by News reading by Vineet, Priyanka Lata, Chaithanya Lakshmi and Neeraj. The choral poetry recitation was done by Anushka Singh, Samriddhi Tiwari, Anuradha Thokchom, Chaithanya Lakshmi, Anamika, Heeba, Krishna, Manini, Dishiti, Debhanjana, Vineet, Shagun Kumar, Rudra Pratap, Tanmay and Rahini. A motivational rendition was sung by the class choir which comprised of Sampurna Sen, Priyasha Kaushik, Rudraansh Deb, Pranshu Ladha, Rithushna, Prachi Bajaj, Shagun Kumar, Aastha, Shefali, Tashvi, Sakshi, Dishita, Shristi, Debhanjana, Samriddhi, Anita. Lita M. Noklang was on the Keyboard, and the guitar was played by Shambhavi and Ananya.

The speech was delivered by Asmi Agarwal, Harshit, Mona, Tashvi, Sonali. The assembly concluded with an energetic dance performance by Dhani Lata, Tia Dutta, Mitisha, Aastha, Sakshi, Aarushi Bhatia, Reet Bhagat, Ananya Jain, Shombita Bandyopadhyay, Mona, Shrishti Serawat.

The comperes were Suparna Wadhwa, Twisha Singhani, Pranshu Ladha, Reet Bhagat, Ananya Jain, Rudraansh Deb, Rahini, Shreeya Rani, Manini, Zorinpuii. The soft board, invitations, and folders were made by the art team comprising of Diya, Sia, Jiah.The digital presentation was made by Anushka Singh, Samriddhi Tiwari and Ananya Singh and the E-Invite was made by Twisha and Mona.

SPANISH OLYMPIAD

DPS RK PURAM successfully conducted its annual Spanish Olympiad in the session 2023-24. It invited participation of a large number of students from Grade VI to X. The first round was conducted on November 24th, 2023. Having cleared it, the selected students appeared for the 2nd round which was held on January 23rd, 2024 in the school premises. After this, the last leg of the competition which was ‘THE SOI INTER-SCHOOL QUIZ’ took place on February 6th, 2024 at Instituto Cervantes- Embassy of Spain. The students were divided into three teams of three students each. Team 1 bagged the second position. The participants were Simona Ghosh of Grade VI, Nanya Gupta Of Grade VIII and Tarushi Jain of Grade X. The winners received trophies and certificates whereas DPS RKP received a school shield.The winners also were also awarded the DELE Exam scholarship worth Rs 7-8000 sponsored by Instituto Cervantes.

Assembly X-A & X-B

Topic: “WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY”

The students of class X-A and X-B have tried to portray an assembly on the topic,’Where there is a Will, There is a Way’.

The assembly began with a heartfelt prayer by Aamir Shahedi, Agastya Chandok, Ashvik Gohri, Divyansh Sharma, Diya Bhaumik, Harshil Arora, Medhansh Gandhi, Nitya Gupta, Tanmaayy Chhabra, Vansh Kanojia, Vanya Mehta, Divit Gupta, Divya Pratap Singh, Kabeer Khan, Laxmi Khasu, Prithvi Basoya, Surya Dev Malik, Vidit followed by our principal , Ms Padma Srinivasan’s welcome address and her recital of an eloquent prayer. Thereafter, Aditri Thakur, Lamya Aggarwal, Aashna Verma staged a breathtaking Vandana, preceded by shloka recitation by Selvi. After which Shaurya Bidhuri gave us a new perspective towards life with his thoughts for the day. Abreeq Hussain, Raghav Arya, Aamir Shahedi, Vaishnavi Murthy enlightened us with current affairs.

Akhil Ranjan, Akshaj Swarankar, Divyam Daga, Harsh Basoya, Ishpreet Sachdeva , Ishika Saini, Keshav Singh , Tanmaayy Chhabra, Vibhu Angra,Aarav, Amvvika Bangarr, Jasnoor Jaggi, Kavya Balaji, Palak, Samanvita Seshadri Kartik, Tiara Baksi were a part of the choir. Self-composed poem was recited by Aditya Sahrawat, Mohd. Ibrahim, Rudraksh Bora. Avani Kumar, Diya Bhaumik, Parin Singh gave a speech. Skit was performed by Aditri Thakur, Harshil Sachdeva, Kanishka Joshi, Lakshit, Soubhik Giri ,Aru Batra, Diksha Sharma, Harshit Bhalla, Ishan Pathak, Krissh Goel, Pranav Tamrakar, Prithvi Basoya, Taskirat Singh Biji and western dance was performed by Selvi, Paavika Chaudhary, Jasnoor Jaggi, Samanvita Seshadri Kartik, Shriyadita Singh, Tiara Bakshi.

Vote of Thanks was delivered by Tanishq Arora. The e-cards and presentation were curated by Divyam Daga, Vir Ansh Vats and Aditya Bareja.
