Ms. Pinki (Physical Education Teacher of Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram) participated in the 11th Asian Lawn Bowls championship 2016, held at Brunei from 24th January to 1st February 2016. A Total of Eleven Countries had participated in the Championship. Ms. Pinki won the Silver Medal in the Women’s Triples and the Bronze Medal in the Women’s Four’s. In the Quarter Final, Indian Women’s Triples beat China, In the Semi Final, they beat Hong Kong (China).
Ms. Pinki has participated in numerous National and International tournaments worldwide. She has won many prizes and Medals, for which she is grateful to the Principal, Dr. D.R. Saini, for giving her an opportunity to practice in the DPS R.K. Puram Lawn Bowls Greens.
She has received a scholarship of Rs. 3,00,000/- from the Delhi Govt. for wining Gold & Silver, in the Kerala National Games, held in February 2015. For winning the Asian Lawn Bowls Championship, Ms. Pinki is once again expected to receive a scholarship of Rs. 3,00,000/- from the Delhi Govt.
