The representatives of Terragreen Team from Classes VI to XII attended a special workshop on Environment Sustainability in the Seminar Room on Friday, 22 November 2013 .This workshop was organized under ‘Create to inspire’ Programme by Nokia, Ministry of Environment and Indo-German Environment Partnership Programme(IGEP)
The program aims to use creative skills to build environmental action projects that can inspire people and initiate behavioral change in the society. The workshop was conducted by Mr Jayant Narayan, Project Coordinator, IGEP Programme under GIZ (German International Cooperation).
The student learnt about Effective Waste Management, specially E-Waste segregation through a movie, solving crossword puzzles and creative interaction with the expert. Teams participated in Jingle Writing and Poster making Competitions and team ‘Environment Avengers’ and ‘Green Gals ‘ were declared winners.
The Principal, Dr. D.R.Saini, Vice Principal, Ms Shobha Mehta;Head mistress of Classes VI-VII, Mrs Anita Singh and the Head of Department of Biology, Mr S.K.Arora were present in the workshop.
The workshop was organized by Ms Niva Chhonkar, Incharge Environment Club along with the Environment Club Appointments of Class XII.
