The Winter Carnival was organised on 14th December 2016 at Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram. Students were in for several delightful surprises, in the form of various activities. The Principal, Ms. Vanita Sehgal, and the Vice-Principals, Dr. Renu Nayar, Ms. Padma Srinivasan, and Ms. Anita Singh were present at the event.
The day began with performance by the school bands of various grades. In the Assembly Ground, students let their hair down to the tunes of a few remarkable student DJs. There were several surprise events anchored by Ms. Abha Chona and Ms.Alinda Holla. A Magic Show and an Aerobics performance by the trained students of 11th grade, and a Puppet Show, were the other highlights.
Teachers hosted several activities’ stalls at the venue. These included the Sketch-Me, Calligraphy/Sulekh, Beads and Names, Create-a-Pot, Photography & Mug Prints, Scrabble, and Painting stalls and ‘Best out of Waste’. A “Paint Your Journey” stall was arranged by the Pearl Academy, where students were encouraged to create canvases and write about their journeys here.
A special stage was set up to host the Talent Show, which consisted of the events of Monoacting, Singing, Beat Boxing and Dancing for which the illustrious faculty members acted as judges.
Food stalls were set up by reputed chains . It was truly a memorable day, thanks to the efforts of the staff and the enthusiasm of the students.
