Class VI
The value for the month of October 2018 was Teamwork. Class teachers and Subject teachers worked to inculcate the same in the students through various activities. They spoke about the idea that a team is only as strong as its weakest member and they should work together to uplift everyone. Cooperation and understanding are essential elements of teamwork. These were brought up in the class and demonstrated through various group tasks performed by the students such as preparation of the class notice boards. The students put up posters, quotations and slogans in the class. They also shared various thoughts, stories and incidents related to the topic.
Class VII
Teamwork plays an important role in one’s life, irrespective of which stage one is in. For students, teamwork means working together by keeping their biases, prejudices and differences aside to achieve a common goal, be it a football match or an inter-section activity. To reiterate the importance of teamwork in life, a discussion was held in the class where students discussed what working together meant to them and how they practiced the value in their daily life. Students enthusiastically participated in class discussions. They shared their experiences where working as the team had helped them learn better and come up with better results. Students decorated the soft boards with valuable quotes.
Class VIII
Teamwork is a group of people with various complimentary skills, working together towards a common vision. It generates performance greater than performance of its individual members. Teamwork enables one to accomplish tasks faster and more efficiently than tackling projects individually. Class teachers and Subject teachers worked towards inculcating this value in the students through various activities. Posters and quotes were put up on the walls. Teachers discussed the meaning of the value with the help of real time examples and class room situations. Students contributed to class discussions by speaking about the topic.
