‘Freedom and Responsibility’ Value of the Month – January & February 2018
CLASS VI
Class teachers and subject teachers worked to inculcate the same in the students through various activities.Teachers discussed concepts of Freedom and responsibility with the students. Students put up posters, quotations and slogans in the class. They also shared various stories and incidents related to the topics.
CLASS VII
Class teachers discussed the Preamble in their classes. Students were made to read the Preamble. Each student wrote in his and her own words what each term meant to them – Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic, Republic. Students discussed and understood the concept of freedom or “Azadi” through the celebration of Independence Day and Republic Day. The students of VII E presented a skit on “Free and Caged bird”. They were explained that freedom comes with responsibility. A healthy discussion regarding the topic took place in all classes. Students shared their views and understood the value of freedom and responsibility.Slogan writing and plays were organized. Students of all sections decorated the class boards with beautiful quotes related to the topic.
CLASS VIII
Class teachers and subject teachers worked to inculcate the same in the students through various activities. The Class teachers explained the Preamble of the Indian Constitution to the students. The subject teachers of English and Hindi languages held discussion and class plays on the value.
