A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.
The Teacher’s Day at D.P.S R.K Puram was celebrated on 05 September, 2017 with a lot of zest. The teachers were greeted with beautiful cards in the morning, with the students expressing their love and gratitude for them.
The event commenced with the School Appointments wishing the teachers and thanking them for all the knowledge they had imparted to the students. The Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal addressed the gathering, where she expressed her affection for the students and thanked them for making their teaching experiences worthwhile. She then invited the Vice Principals, Ms. Anita Singh, Ms Padma Srinivasan and Dr. Renu Nayar, along with the Headmistress, Ms.Rashmi Malhotra, to give out the ‘Best Teacher’ awards to Ms. Sangeeta Mishra and Ms. Ruby Bhattacharya. Following this, the teachers sportingly participated in a surprise game where they answered interesting questions such as, “If you could have one super power, what would you choose?” The students presented the teachers with a beautiful musical performance followed by a theatrical extravaganza.
The teachers were given relief from their usual duties and were taken to watch a motion picture. The senior students took over the mantle of responsibility and adopted the roles of teachers. The celebrations terminated with the teachers spending time with the students in their respective classrooms.
