The Principal, Ms Vanita Sehgal thanked the students and talked about how rewarding teaching was as a profession. She also congratulated the Vice Principal, Mrs Anita Singh on receiving a State Award from the Directorate of Education. This was followed by the felicitation of teachers who received the ‘Role Model Teacher Award’ from DPS Society: Ms Abha Chona, Ms Niva Chhonkar, Ms Jonaki Sarma, Mr Subodh Kumar, Ms Lalitha Srinivasan, Ms Rupa Das, Ms Ritu Nayyar and Ms Amla Thukral.

The Western Music Society presented a song, towards the end of which all students gave a standing ovation to the teachers. A series of dance performances took place, exhibiting the versatile culture of our nation, which included Rajasthani, Kathak and Bhangra dances. The Expressions Theatre Club presented an enthralling skit highlighting the importance of hygiene. The whole school took a pledge to carry forward Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a ‘Clean India’. The program ended with an enlivening performance by the Dance Society of the school, who later invited the appointees to join in. While the teachers enjoyed a movie, the appointments took over the discipline of the school.
